Tips on Use:

-PM2.5 reads in μg/m³, not AQI. Search AirNow AQI calculator online for quick conversion.

-Calibrate on first use, esp. if 0.000 indoor readings noted.

-If the HCHO, temp, or PM2.5 is inaccurate, use the "Sensor Set" Menu found under SET (press D), then SENSOR (press A) to further calibrate device readings.

-Large variations & 9.999 TVOC readings do not indicate an error as this instrument is a sensitive electronic nose; environmental TVOCs vary much and high TVOCs often can result from interference from benign fragrances or odors.

-Air Pollution Level vs. AQI are separate & different assessments of air quality.

Answer:	The monitor can check for outdoor particulate matter (PM2.5) levels; TVOC and HCHO levels are generally negligible outdoors as they are from synthetic sources.
Question:	In testing for formaldehyde & you have a certain product do you place a plastic bag around the product and insert the tester inside
Answer:	That is a very good question: 1. What I would do is place the tester in the bag without any product to get a baseline and then place the item to be tested in the bag for about 1 day to achieve equilibrium. 2. Then you can put the tester in the bag for at least 30 minutes or until readings stabilize. 3. Subtract the tested item reading from the baseline reading to get the formaldehyde emission amount from the tested item. Hope this answers your questions, take care!
Question:	Does this detector work for checking for mold
Answer:	It can check for TVOCs (organic compounds dissolved in air) and PM2.5 (micron dust levels) which can indicate presence of mold but it does not specifically check for concentration of mold spores. Thanks for asking.

Answer:	It will detect smoke from my cooking, but not my neighbor's cooking. I haven't tried it with cigarette smoke, but if the smoke is close enough to the device, say within 10 feet, I think it will.
Question:	Will this detect leaking gas from a stove or heating unit
Answer:	No > You need a Carbon Monoxide detector for that. < That is a safety device you should have just like a smoke detector. Carbon Monoxide (from faulty stoves or furnace) is much more dangerous at lower ppm. What you get with this air quality monitor is readout on carbon Dioxide, which humans breathe out (and generally is not harmful in low parts per million, but when a house is tight / lots of people together it starts to get stuffy and signals need to open window for fresh air, etc). House Plants can also help process that co2 into oxygen.

Question:	How accurate is this product when compared to, say, a fluke
Answer:	I've never used the fluke, but seeing as how it looks like a professional device, I'd say that this device will not give you as accurate a calculation on particulates. It has basically a 1-5 scale for particulates, and only measures pm 2.5 particles. Plus a separate scale for VOCs. I've been using mine for about 2 weeks and see it drop down from an overall score of 100 to about 65 when I cook, but I bought it to detect fumes from my neighbor's cooking, and even though I could clearly smell their smoke, my awair was still registering at a 95, so it didn't really do what I had hoped.

Question:	What is the accuracy (not resolution) of the CO2 and other measurements (plus or minus ppm
Answer:	I mainly got this for CO measurements. I run a CO2 burner in a grow facility, and wanted to know if CO was being released. I have a Spartan Environmental controller for my grow, and if the Spartan reads 1200ppm, this unit will read ~950.... so not totally accurate, and the Spartan was a $500 unit with a sniffer in the middle of the room so I tend to believe what it's tell me is accurate.
Question:	How long do you have to charge the unit before you do the calibration
Answer:	Item should be fully charged for best results. Leave on and outdoors where synthetic formaldehyde and TVOCs are negligible for 5+ minutes. Press power button twice quickly to calibrate device. A 0.000 reading shows device has calibrated.

TVOC Detection

TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compound) is one of the main pollutants of home decoration pollution.

M10 can detect the content of various volatile organic pollutants such as benzene toluene, alkanes and aromatics to protect you and your family's health.

Formaldehyde (HCHO)

HCHO is a colorless, poisonous, highly water-soluble gas with an obnoxious odor. Used in the manufacture of disinfectants, preservatives, and hundreds of industrial and consumer products such as adhesives, carpeting, decorative paneling, foam insulation, drapery, fiber and particle boards, and permanent press fabrics.

Carbon Dioxide (CO₂)

Question:	I assume this device will detect and display the amount of mold spores in the air
Answer:	The device can check for TVOCs (total organic compounds dissolved in air) and PM2.5 (micron dust levels) which can indicate presence of mold but it does not specifically check for mold spores or identify the type of mold. You would need a more specific mold detection kit that would be sent to a laboratory for mold species identification via microscope.
Question:	Does this unit test for carbon monoxide
Answer:	No, it does not check for CO (carbon monoxide). It only checks for CO2 (carbon dioxide).
Question:	Will this unit measure silica dust ppm? will test satisfy osha new silica rule for construction

Question:	Can this be calibrated
Answer:	As far as I am aware, no it is pre calibrated at manufacturers settings by default as far as I know
Question:	How long for the first reading of the meter
Answer:	It generally takes a while to auto calibrate each time its switched on. This is normal, its each and every time its turned off and then on as it scans and detects with sensitivity
Question:	How does it switch for o2 setting to co2 readings and what is the range for the co2 reading
Answer:	Hello Ken, there is no testing or monitoring for co2. This is only an oxygen meter. You must acquire a carbon dioxide meter separately from this. Hope this answers your question.
Question:	How do I check the purity level of my oxigen concentrator?I don't see where to hook up the concentrator tube
Answer:	This meter or detector measures oxygen parts in relation to other gaseous parts ie ppm. It simply detects oxygen concentration in contrast to hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide etc. It does not show or measure purity. If its oxygen...its simply oxygen if the gas has some other gases, it obviously is not pure oxygen. So the parts per million with oxygen are simply just that...pure oxygen.
