Answer:	I have the Reizen Tech HD tool box liner in use for over two years now. Both my large tool box and my two mobile tool boxes that see lots of bumps, potholes and broken concrete and asphalt streets. My tools in both mobile boxes hang in there very well. Sometimes irregular terrain moves some items in the boxes around but the box liner has never slipped. This isn’t an issue with my garage stationary tool boxes. This is the best tool box liner I have ever used since I got my first tool box in 1969!!!

Answer:	Nate said it, about 2mm. About as thick as a wash cloth. No rips in mine, I've had it in my truck tool box for almost a year, looks like it did when I first put it in!

Answer:	It appears to be a synthetic rubber like material with a raised waffle surface on the top side. Heavy tools will leave a slight impression in the surface, a handy feature when you need to replace the tools. After loading my tool box, I decided to move it into another room, none of of the tools were out of place. Great product, I highly recommend it.

Question:	how long is the roll
Answer:	The word "adhesive" in the product name is a misnomer. They should call it "non-slip". It's rubbery and has significant thickness that offers some padding. it's not sticky. You could use it on a window with a separate adhesive, but I can't imagine why you'd do that. I use mine as a non-slip layer in the back of my SUV between the carpeted cargo floor and a protective plastic liner that otherwise slides around too much. Even though it's Contact brand, don't confuse it with traditional Contact product, i.e. plastic shelf liner with adhesive back.
Question:	These things smell really bad when unwrapped. Does the smell go away? Worried about putting these in an office and breathing it in all day
Answer:	This product contains no adhesive. It adheres to surfaces like cling/plastic wrap works on your dishes, etc... Once removed there is no residual left behind.

Answer:	Yes - double sided tape might be best to use because it is easy to work with. Some glues might react to the grip or your desk depending on what type of glue is used. Double sided tape or "carpet tape" may be a better way to hold the liner in place. In either case, I would recommend testing the glue or tape on a surface similar to your lap desk to see how it works.

How thick is the liner

Answer:

One side is fairly shiny and the other side (which I have facing up in my tool boxes) has a "crinkled" less shiny surface. I don't have a significant rust problem where my tool boxes are located, so I've never tried any rust proofing. However, I dabbed some mineral oil on a corner of the crinkled side and within 5 minutes it had dried up. The only question is how much evaporated and how much might have soaked in. Sorry I can't help you more, but best of luck if you give it a try.
