Answer:	This is a unique , waterproof, at least in a shower. Have no idea of its ability in a pool. You can put this dressing on and leave in place for 3 to 4 days. I keep two sizes. 3x3 and 4x4. Pricey but a great product. No bandage skin burn. Very gentle on the skin. It has about a 1/2 inch silicon edge.

Answer:	That information is included with the purchase ad. Some may only have 5 some have 10. It isn't cheap but you can wear same bandage for several days and they are mostly waterproof for taking showers. Not in a swimming pool. It is a great bandage for anyone with tender skin.
Question:	How do these compare to Mepilex? I see the price difference, but are they the similar magic solution our doctor recommended for serious bed sores
Answer:	I have used both of them and still do. I got the Optifoam because of the price and I found they worked fine. They stay on in the shower, etc. The only thing is the difference in the surrounding fabric - the Optifoam is more plastic and maybe a little less pliable so the decision on which one to use depends on the location of the wound. If it's hard to get at and I need more flexibility I use the original mepilex - if it's a fairly flat area and won't have much friction I use the optifoam. If you can I would get both in the beginning and see which works for you - but they do work.

Answer:	It does have some silver nitrate, however the active ingredient is Silver Chloride 0.0055% (55 ppm). Inactive ingredients are: Carbomer, Glycerine, Silver Nitrate, Sodium Chloride, Triethanolamine, Water. FYI - I haven't used this product in a while as I switched to ASAP Silver Gel (Amazon ASIN B00854JXVK) as it is much cheaper and just as effective for me. I use it to treat cuts & scratches as I am allergic to neosporin. Curad product worked good as well.
Question:	Can this be used on a small tunnel wound (approx. 2 cm deep) ? Does the gel turn thick or more liquid like after a few days
Answer:	Yes, this wound gel is better than anything I've ever used over the counter. Keeping the wound clean with hydrogen perox, then apply to wound, and cover twice a day will heal that wound for sure. I found better results keeping the wound covered, heals faster as it closes up. It's a gel, and will not turn thick, the wound will absorb the gel. Use a Q-tip to get the gel into the wound after you clean it, then cover with sterilized bandage. you should see great results in 2-3 days. I hope that helps you.

Answer:	Read all the added notes under the product. We purchased it bc it has silver, among other healing ingredients. It worked well on a small rash our grandchild had on her face. I would recommend.

There is a product that is called Silverdene, it is used in the medical industry to fight infections on burn victims, but that has a higher concentration of silver in it and it has more of a white in color with a silver tint.
