Answer:	If I really wanted to protect a poster I would go for the "topload holders" which are a rigid plastic and will help protect from UV, wrinkling and bending. Answer:	Have not done paper mache in a long time, but this is a little thicker/stiffer then regular newspaper - might be worth a try. You can always use it for wrapping packages, and I am using it for moving, packing material.
