Answer:	Once set up, the unit provides the same type of bark for each of 3 motion sensing in a given time period and this information is available in the included instructions. There is also a test bark which is softer. A doorbell chime and an alarm and a volume control are also included settings to alternate the alarm functions on a setting basis.The bark is so realistic that it taught my big dog to bark in the same manner. I thought that was very cool.If your electronic dog does not work properly, contact the seller to discuss your options and positioning. I have not found this item to work well through glass doors with aluminum frames.This item does not work well through metal as the sensor rays bounce off metal and give erroneous responses. Also, a raft floating around in the pool can set it off. A stable working environment and correct sensor positioning is important for best effect. Mine work through solid wood doors but you must avoid having the sensor including door hinges in the sensor field.

Answer:	I don't think they have that "official" rating, but I've had two of the three of mine outside for the past 8 months being rained and snowed on and they still work fine. Not everything need an official IP rating in order to work just fine in inclement weather. You'll be fine.

Question:	Is it possible to add additional remote sensors. Are they battery powered. How far away can they be placed
Answer:	you can have may of these units, however, they are not able to communicate with each other they will all just work as individual units. You may have some interference if the beams cross.
Question:	Does anyone think Rex would work in a barn directed outside to deter a cougar? It would be directed towards the woods beyond the barn. Thanks
Answer:	Here is a SWAG (scientific wild ass guess) - it might work. Our Rex is pointed out our front door and if I run up to the door (not what I think a cougar would do) it doesn't bark until I'm right by the door (which seems a bit late to me). If I tarry in the driveway, about 15 feet from the door and talk with someone (like a stealthy cougar slowly approaching?) Rex eventually catches on and starts barking. My theory is that the further away the cougar is when the barking starts, the better the cougar is deterred. And my theory is the cougar would approach slowly. Ideally your cougar friend would have a fear of dogs. Now if the cougar considers dogs yummy, then Rex could be an attractant!
Question:	What is the perimeter range of the unit? If someone approaches from the back of where the unit is located will it still detect
Answer:	6-2-13 -- My unit is aimed from a bedroom through a stucco house wall to the carport where people approach my front gate. At full sensitivity my Rex II picks up activity at about ten feet ahead and four feet from the back. I only turn it on when I go out or if I anticipate solicitors, in which case I close the door to the room so the cats won't be scared, although they have become used to it.
Question:	Will something as small as a cat walking by trigger the alarm
