These are strong magnets, but likely not strong enough to make up the difference for good fitment on a socket/ratchet connection if we're talking about, say, auto mechanic work.

Question:	is it less stronger (in force) than your 3mm-mix
Answer:	It's very much the same, but... the quality is not good. These magnets are built very cheaply and disintegrate very easily. Almost like chalky candy, that's how brittle they are. Would not recommend, especially if you have young children around that could play with these or have them break and then risk the chance of swallowing them. Not good.

Answer:	These may be good in various sizes, but are built very cheap and break easily. Unless you have some sort of plastic film protector that will cover these things. Otherwise, these will not hold up very long, the magnetic compass are great, but the cheaply made product creates more concern then practical application.

Answer:	I never heard of magnet flux. So I Googled it. I’m not sure if I understand if it is the distance at which the magnets begin to attract or a measurement of the force of attraction. What do know is they are only half as strong as the version Home Depot sells. Went to use these for car audio trim panels and they worked terrible. Had to make another panel and use HDs version.

Answer:	If you mean to ask if they lose their polarity within a year, no, you should be able to re-use them for a year. If you mean to ask if they can be re-used indefinitely, I would bet that the magnets would start to lose their polarity after 5 years, and would eventually lose their strength after at least 10 years of use. These aren't neodymium magnets so it's hard to tell and each magnet's life time will vary, but I can conservatively say that if you are using them just for christmas cards every year, they should definitely last at least 10 years.

Answer:	It is probably best to super glue them after baking as the magnets may not be strong enough to hold through the clay.

Answer:	Neodymium magnets have iron and boron as well as neodymium in them, so they could show some rust from oxidation of the iron content they contain. It would most likely just be little tiny rust spots, the size of a pin point. If it rusts and shows more than tiny little rust dots, then it is not a neodymium magnet. They should not have do much iron that they rust and crumble for instance. Stainless steel can have the same thing happen, especially cheap stainless steel.

Answer:	Probably not. They have to be within a quarter inch or so of each other or some ferrous metal to hold very strongly. I use them to hold down some canvass material against a metal rail but I have to use one disc every foot or so.

Answer:	I have not measured the holding force, mostly because the holding force depends quite a bit on the type of material and the thickness of the material that the magnet is stuck to. But I can tell you this: they are very strong, even dangerously strong.You definitely do not want your skin between this magnet and your tools or a piece of steel.. It will easily hold a large wrench. Note the magnetic gap in the cup is pretty small which means that the very high field there could saturate thin steel. However, these will not slide of stuck to a refrigerator.

Two installation methods of GREATMAG cup magnets

How to safely separate your GREATMAG magnets?

Question:	What is the actual size?...Anybody counter sink these with forstner bit?...If so, what size bit?..Thanks
Answer:	I used a 1.25" forstner bit and it was a fraction too small. Had to carve them out a bit too get the magnets to fit. These claim they're 1.26" in diameter and i believe that's accurate.
Question:	Is there a trick for separating them? I struggle to pull them apart
Answer:	I found sliding them off one at a time works best. Once you slide one off the top a couple of centimeters, you can separate them by pushing a thin piece of plastic between them - like a guitar pick or a tiddlywink.
Question:	Will they work with a 1inch piece of wood between them
Answer:	magnetic force dies off at the rate of about 1/r with r raised to the 4th power so the greater the 'r', the distance to the item attracted, then the attraction is reduced by a huge amount... Hold two magnets an inch apart and feel how week the force is between them, either attractive or repulsive, then try bringing them within an 8th of an inch of each other and see how the force increases!
Question:	Do they stand up to heat
Answer:	I use Neos on oil filters without a problem. Any fine ferrous material in the oil stops there. I use 1" dia x 1/2 thick 45lb pull Neos. (Strong enough to put on a closed steel tool box and pull tools to the top from the top tray inside the tool box.) No noticeable degradation in strength over 30,000 miles (car) 25,000 miles (water cooled motorcycle). As for actual temp, I would suspect much higher temp than what I run them at (180F or so), they would begin to lose their magic.

Question:	Are each of these magnets strong enough to work with magnetic slime? I am doing a science activity for my students
Answer:	I have no idea what magnetic slime is; however these magnets are quite strong. The seller did not have any spec information to give me. There are variations in the strength of neodymium magnets. There are several formulations and I do not know which one these are. Neodymium magnets are the strongest for a given volume. Answer:	Slide 'em 😁 Yup, they really are strong so I've found that the only way is to slide them apart. BTW don't let them snap together with your fingers in the way. If it doesn't draw blood it will definitely bring tears to your eyes!!!!

Answer:	Don't hold me to it but I think they're N65
