Answer: | I use Neos on oil filters without a problem. Any fine ferrous material in the oil stops there. I use 1" dia x 1/2 thick 45lb pull Neos. (Strong enough to put on a closed steel tool box and pull tools to the top from the top tray inside the tool box.) No noticeable degradation in strength over 30,000 miles (car) 25,000 miles (water cooled motorcycle). As for actual temp, I would suspect much higher temp than what I run them at (180F or so), they would begin to lose their magic. |

Answer: | These magnets are really strong for their size. They have as much holding power as some larger gun magnets I have. That said, the holding power through a 3/16 blanket (I tested on a normal cloth blanket of 3/16) is greatly reduced. If you are planning on using them to hold the blanket up against something you may not get the result you want. I suspect a welding blanket is pretty heave - so if the magnet is on a shear the blanket will likely slide. If you used lots - like all 12 - and selected your application you might be OK. Also, note the shape - the flat side is the usable side - the rounder looking side has very little power. This is relevant to removing them without the screw in place - very difficult when magnet is directly in contact with ferrous metal. You would have to slide it to a point allowing you to get it loose. Also - no way these things hold 60Lbs. I could not pick up a 30Lb dumbbell. Maybe some types of iron/steel are more attracted but I don't see 60Lbs. That said - these are about 1 inch by 3/16 and very solidly hold ferrous items I have that weigh 4-6 lbs. |

Answer: | Hmmm, I’m pretty sure that these are N52. Just keep in mind that one disk is not big, so it’s magnetic field will be relatively small. If you combine the disks without any spacers, you will see the force greatly increases to what I believe is appropriate for N52. I have never measured the grade of a magnet, but I know that these are not weak compared to toy magnets. |

Answer: | I am going to use these for this purpose. Here's why: a standard ceramic magnet can stick to another magnet with a pretty strong pull, but on a metal surface it is much weaker. These are VERY difficult to pull away from each other, but I imagine it will be much easier to pull a spice jar off the fridge, since the fridge is not a magnet. They also provide enough strength that I am not concerned about a glass spice jar falling off the fridge. |

1.Only when the thickness of the tested steel reaches a certain level, the magnetic flux through its cross section would be the largest and the leakage magnetic field between the magnetic poles is

2.Only when the force is perpendicular to the contact surface can the tension reach the maximum. When the force is parallel to the contact surface, the pulling force can only reach 1/3 maximum.

Answer: | From a magnetic standpoint, they are definitely strong enough for that purpose. I hold a rattling license plate on a moving vehicle with one of them. It’s rock solid. One of these magnets will hold the average hunting knife. Larger blades might need two. The only concern I have are the adhesive pads. They are quite good, but how long will they last is anybody’s guess. After a few years of heat and humidity variation, you might find yourself in a falling knife situation. Worst case you could use two magnets, one on either side of your case back plate. The magnets will hold each other against the plate and the knife as well. |
