Answer:	Not sure I can help but my thoughts are- it probably does not matter how little use it gets, could matter how it was stored and yes the gasket could have dried out. If you can find a phone number or website for iSi get in touch with them and see what they say. Replacement parts are available to buy. We've had ours for quite a while now with zero problems. Prior to this one, we had two for ten or more years with zero problems. One of them was at the fire station my husband was at so it took a beating. The other was at home and got used mainly only during summer months. The one we have now gets moderate use. Good luck.

COMMON FAULTS AND SOLUTIONS OF SCISSOR JACK

1.Lifting up and down is not smooth.

Reason 1：The lubricating oil on the screw is not enough in use.

Solutions：Apply lubricant evenly to the screw.

Reason 2：Foreign matters are stuck or damaged in Jack thread and lifting related parts.:

Solutions：When the jack is not used, it shall be protected and stored well, and the thread and parts shall not be damaged by collision.

2. The operation force is too large to raise when lifting.

Reason:The working stroke height and rated load of the model and Jack are not consistent. If the working height is too low and the load is too heavy, the jack will fail.

Solutions：According to the height from the top of the car to the ground and the total weight of the car, choose the jack with proper working stroke and rated load.

3.The jack is deformed to one side or the teeth are misaligned.

Reason:The other wheels of the vehicle are not blocked with tire pads when using the jack. Causes the jack to fail due to the movement when the vehicle is jacked up.

Solutions：Before jacking up the jack, block other wheels that do not need to be replaced from the front and rear with tire pads or hard objects.

Answer:	I mean if the floor is level, then I’d say it’s very stable. Can’t attest to only 25 pounds. I’m on average only lifting 800-1000 lb bikes.

Slim Fit

What good would a jack be if it couldn't fit under your ride? Many low riders and cruisers offer extremely low ground clearance, making it impossible to use a center-lift jack. However, with a fully-collapsed height of just 3-3/8", this should never be a problem! Park your motorcycle, slide your jack into position underneath, then lift away!

Reach

Starting at the fully-collapsed height of 3-3/8", the Extreme Max Wide Motorcycle Jack offers a tremendous 10-5/8" vertical travel, topping out at a fully-extended height of 14". This height provides plenty of clearance for tire changes, drive chain maintenance, cleanings, tune-ups, and more. Answer:	It gives you the ability to lift from 7-1/8 inch to 13-5/8 inch. that is a direct copy from the description on Amazon....That means it needs a little over 7 inches of clearance under the object you wan to lift and it will lift it up to a little under 14 inches...My math by order of subtraction means it lifts the object a massive amount of about 6 and a half inches.
