Answer:	It is very easy to use. However I experienced the same problem as a lot of others. I quit working just after the warranty expired. Seems like it'a a hit or miss proposition.

SEMIWAVE mode is the semiwave mode of 40KHz ultrasonic wave, however, it can also be identified by an oscilloscope as 28KHz. Its penetration performance is not as good as 40KHz, but it does well in cleaning stuffs with simple-shaped surfaces. Especially, SEMIWAVE ultrasonic wave causes much lower noise than single-frequency 28KHz or 40KHz ultrasonic wave.

Heating Function to Remove Oil and Wax

Heating can decrease the adhesive strength of oil and wax to certain stuffs to be cleaned, make the cleaning solution much easiler to create cavitations under ultrasonic wave and strengthen cavitation so as to increase the cavitation level of cleaning solution, and then enhance the cleaning effect.

Note: the best cavitation temperature of water is 60 degrees celsius.

Degas Mode for removing ultrasonic fatigue

DEGAS mode is an intermittent cleaning mode to remove residual bubbles(no cavitation nucleus) which can increase the loss of ultrasonic transmission and decrease the blast strength of cavitations in the cleaning solution. So it is a cleaning mode for removing ultrasonic fatigue to improve cleaning effect.

Answer:	Polymer should be fine (I've done it myself), but in using this device to clean my HK USP 45 using Lucas bore cleaner, it basically made the rubber O-ring disappear. The Polymer was fine, however. So I had to order a new rubber o-ring. No biggie. Bottom line: Polymer is fine. Rubber is a no-no. Remove your O-ring but don't worry about your polymer frame. Hope that helps.

Both the heating wattage and the oscillation wattage increase with the larger capacities. The oscillation wattages increase because the number of oscillators used is more on the bigger capacities. They all operate on 110 AC voltage - standard household current. I have the 3 liter for cleaning motorcycle carburetors and it works very well. Hope this helps!

However, as another alternative, I have used various sizes of loose-leaf, lockable mesh tea strainers to hold small items (i.e. carburetor jets, rings, etc) and simple hung the strainers hook end to the lid. That way you can use the cleaner for large items with a full reservoir & clean small items without dropping them all the way in. No need to change cleaning fluid if you don't have to.

Answer:	It is normal. you can set the celsius less than the one which you want.

Answer:	Like nuts and bolts hardware? It depends on the metal for the most part, and the condition. Stainless cleans up nice but a basic steel still needs wire brushed/polished even after the ultrasonic cleaner. Just note that when the machine is on, the temperature rises. It does not shut off, even if it’s set on zero. I run Gunk carb cleaner in mine but it calls for distilled water I believe.

The heating function will stops automatically when the Actual temperature is higher than the Set temperature. Only when the Set temperature is higher than the Actual temperature, the heating function will work. For Example:

iSonic Personal Model D3800A

A small personal model such as iSonic D3800A, CD-2800 uses wafer transducer. It's adequate for light duty applications such as home uses for jewelry, eyeglasses, watch cleaning. But it's inadequate for heavy duty applications such brass cartridge cleaning, carburetors, liposomal vitamin c making, etc.

P4820's Safety Certifiate

All our ultrasonic cleaners bear a safety certificate label underneath the tank. It identifies UL and CSA (for Canada) safety tests certificates. HF used to sell the same model as our P4820 but they switched to a low quality copy of P4820 in 2016 without any safety certificate. A proper safety certificate not only indicates safety qualification, it also represent certain quality qualifications. Customers should not use an electrical product without a proper safety certificate.
