| Answer: | It did not have a strong odor and you can walk on it after 24 hours but they recommend not putting your furniture on until at least between 5-7 days, the longer the better. I sanded my wood down to bare wood, stained it and applied 3 coats. After you applied the first coat, you are suppose to apply the 2nd coat within so many hours (can't remember exactly but the directions will tell you) the 3rd coat which is the next day. I had to open a new one up because the product only stays active with that mix for 24 hours. After that, you have to activate that product again. |

| Answer: | I installed a new red oak 3/4" T&G flooring. After all the sanding and vacuuming I stained the floor with an oil based Minwax - Golden Pecan-245 to match the molding. This stain gave me a good grain appearance with some warm amber color. I could have used Minwax - Natural-209 to highlight the grain with no color. After drying according to manufacturing directions I applied the recommended (basic coatings) - Hydroline Sealer before using the (basic coatings) Streetshoe-Satin finish according to directions which are both (water based) finishes. Both finishes of (basic coatings) were applied using a 12" lambskin. The finish protects the new flooring, looks great and wears very well. I used this product in a different part of the house 19 years ago and it still looks great! |
