Question:	The product dimensions are listed as: 1 inch by 4 inch by 6 3/4-inch. How wide is the part that fits over an inside door? 1 inch would be too narrow
Answer:	The model that I received was made of ~3 mm think plastic over a 1 3/8" (35 mm) thick door. It hangs about 4 1/2" down the door and is 7/8" wide. The front side of the door will show about 1 3/8" of the hanger. The first hook down is ~1 1/2" down, ~1 1/2" deep and a ~5/8" lip. The Second hanger is ~4 1/5" down, 5/8" deep with a 5/8" lip.
Question:	How deep is the part that fits over the door--in other words how thick of a door does it fit
Answer:	The inside measurement of the part that fits over the door is 1 and 3/8". It is made of pretty hard plastic and don't think you could "stretch" beyond that- the stress I think would cause it to break. The plastic is pretty thick I will say,and so you should have some space at the top so that it doesn't interfere with closing. It is well made as far as plastic goes. I bought for daughter college dorm but door was too thick and could not use.

Answer:	Certainly you can close the door if you were always able to close the door before. You may want to spray some WD-40 on the top of the door hanger When you first close the door with it on there but it should fit fine and close.

Answer:	Don’t know about the pounds but I have three of these and they work beautifully. Weight has not been an issue. You will run out of space to hang before you have a weight issue

Answer:	My door is 1 1/2" and there is about another 1/4" space. I think it could work, but would be extremely snug and you may need to bend the material out just a little.

Answer:	the top hook sticks out about 4 inches and the bottom one about 2 and a half.

Answer:	Hooks are 8 and 10 10/2 inches from top of door. This item is pretty sturdy I only wish it was wider. I would by again.

Answer:	mine came in at 1.75 inches. I have standard 1-3/8 doors and i had to put plenty of foam tape to close the gap. I was prepared for 1.5 as described so it wasn't ideal but it works provided you don't mind the hanger sticking out a half inchI got the quad hooks. Don't know if all styles measure the same

Answer:	I'm not home to look but I'm guessing an inch or so. But I do know that when the door is all the open (door knob touching the wall). The hooks don't touch the wall.

Answer:	It fits perfectly. No issues at all for standard US doors, they don't jam at all. Don't know the exact thickness of the metal but for sure it's been design keeping the standards in mind.

Answer:	Well, the top hook connects at 9" from the top of the door and slants upward to 6 1/2" from the top of the door. The lower hook connects at 10" from the top of the door and curves upward to 9 1/2". Hope that helps. I am about 5' 3" and it works quite easily for me. Debbie

Answer:	No, a thin door is what we intended it for so we had to rig it with a bolt but it scratches our shower door frame
Question:	Has anyone actually tried it over a shower door? Is it stable on the thinner metal
Answer:	I wouldn't use it on anything thinner than 1.5 inches. I think it would be wobbly.
Question:	What grade of steel is the "traditional steel
Answer:	Not sure the “GRADE” of the steel, but I can say this is well constructed, nice door hook. I love mine. Hope that helps at least somewhat.

Answer:	I don't have the copper one, but the white one does fit on my 1.75" door.

Answer:	I couldn't give you the exact gauge of wire but we use it over the bathroom door and hang heavy towels from it. Very strong in my opinion.

Answer:	Yes it will. It will leave a gap of approximately 3/8" as it does on my door, but it will still work and look fine.

Answer:	I have this in my daughter's room, so I'm not sure. I will say that similar plated hooks I used in the bathroom eventually started to rust due to the moisture.

Answer:	tape mine don't wobble btw, maybe too much on one side

Answer:	I don’t think so. The door I put this hanger on is 1 3/8” and it fits just right with no wiggle.
Question:	Can you close the door with this? The last one I got doesn't
Answer:	Yes. No problems with closing the closet door it is hanging from. One might consider that it is the door allowance at top of door itself rather than the hook that is the issue? Perhaps a handy person could adjust the door to accommodate the hook.
