Answer:	The instructions that come with the unit duplicate what I have read from several Fire Department sources: you can place your unit on the ceiling, but AT LEAST 4 inches (10cm) from the wall. If you want to mount it on the wall, mount it MORE THAN 4 inches (10cm) BELOW the ceiling, but NO LOWER than12 inches (30cm) below the ceiling. It has to be high enough up the wall to "smell" the smoke, but that 4 x 4 inch (10cm x 10cm) area where the wall meets the ceiling can sometimes harbor a "dead zone" of still air where the smoke would NOT reach the detector quickly enough during a fire to warn you in time. Thus, do NOT mount your detectors too close to where the wall meets the ceiling.

We have ours in use perhaps 6 months during the day (at best,) and after about two years they need fiddling to activate flames. Answer:	This will depend on your situation. If you are just trying to use it for turning on and off a heat source, then it should work just fine. Follow the instructions carefully. Even though you have 3 wires, I'm guessing one of the 3 is not being used. Follow the wire to the other end and see if all 3 wires are hooked up. If there are only 2 hooked up, those same 2 wires will be what you use at the stat. The stat is just like a light switch, just lower voltage. Power will come from your transformer, through the stat, then to the device control you want to turn on. If you have a unique situation and need more help, you can take some pictures and describe your application and send them to me at [email protected] and I will do my best to help you out.

Answer:	This is just a simple thermostat that turns on when the temperature reaches the point at which you set it, and stays on until the temperature drops below that set point.

Answer:	This means do not connect a variable speed control to the motor. The motor must run at full speed and only controlled by the thermostat.

Answer:	Come on. At temperature range 60° to120°, you set the "fan on" to cool your whatever. HOWEVER! YOU DO NOT WANT your house fan on if there is a FIRE as it will create a chimney effect and make things exponentially worse so at 183° just before where stuff like wood starts to oxidize and combust (burn), it shuts off so you don't blame (and sue) them because YOU left a romantic candle burning and toasted your bedroom.
Question:	Are you able to set the min and max temps, like a min of 50 degrees and max of 68 degrees
Answer:	As the temperature increases in the attic the contact closes and the fan starts. So far mine works fine.

Answer:	This unit is 750mv output. It's main element is 9mm dia. by 40mm lg. It has a sleeve adapter to increase the dia. to 10mm and also has a groove at the bottom which will accommodate a clip ring. The main element housing has a tube nut to thread into the pilot housing or bracket. There is also a spring ring clip to use as a mounting retainer. The unit is very universal and should fit a variety of pilot assemblies. The leads are 35" lg. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I looked on conversion (back of packaging) I do not see that part no. listed. However I installed on mine and it was not listed either, (close to another number) So I can not confirm. I think if the shape is similar, it will fit your application. I am not an expert, but the 600/750 millivolt will most likely work electrically as that appears to be the industry standard. So I would not fear that, it really comes down to the hold device, and I suspect this will fit most applications there too. It has worked excellent for me.

Answer:	What is a G01A-530? If a G01A-530 is a thermopile 750 millivolt and the leads are approximately the same length then yes it should work. I'm not familiar with a G01A-530 so I can not say for sure.

Answer:	Not familiar with the Whirlpool water heater model, but if it is a "standing pilot" (pilot light is always on, as opposed to an intermittent pilot which is electrically ignited only when there is a call for heating) water heater with a 1/4 inch gas valve connection for the sensor (thermocouple), this should work.

Answer:	I wouldn't know, but when I needed one; I just kind of got a couple of them in case my coil goes out another time and I have an extra on hand. I needed a heating coil for my propane water heater here in Hawaii and I got one of these, hooked it up and it has been working flawlessly for some years now and I have an extra on hand just in case it is needed.
