What is maxium pressure it will hold

Answer:

My guess would be yes but you need to rule out a couple more things. 1. If you can confirm free flow to the pump. 2. lack of vacuum from the motor to the pump, that's what the pump uses to move the fuel, 3. Outlet line may be clear but you may have a stuck seat above the float in the carb (just blow into that line and see if a little air moves into the carb) 4. All lines in correct location 5. Is there an electronic cut off on the bottom of your carb? Power? Open Closes? (used for when motor is low on fuel or when key is off) Probably not on your motor though. Fuel pump is all that is left.
