Answer:	It's lined in plastic. So if the dish is 400 degrees, I think you would want to wrap a dish towel around it first. just in case.

Answer:	The sauce spilled out on one dish and it looked ruined. I put it in the sink and used soap and a sponge then put it outside to dry. It's fine now. I don't think I would put it in the machine because the insulation might be compromised.

Answer:	No heat pad, just the carrier. PBS's Cook's Country (America's Test Kitchen) looked at several casserole carriers and determined this one kept a 9"x13" 180 degrees F ziti casserole hot (140F or above) for 3 hours where the others they tested only did it for an hour. It also determined a 9"x13" casserole dish did NOT slip in this one. This one was their recommended choice which is why I'm getting one. When I bring food to Easter, Thanksgiving, etc. gatherings, I often bring a 12" x 9" disposable lasagna pan full of some veggie dish plus other food in a crock pot. I have a crock pot carrier and heat there isn't a problem because I can plug it in at the event. A 12 x 9 disposable pan may have to sit it inside a 13"x 9" glass or aluminum casserole dish to hold it steady, but that's not a problem for me.

Answer:	The outer dimensions of the BlueVoy food bag are 23”L X 14”W X 15”H, large enough to hold 4 full size 4” steam table pans. The bag is insulated in 3 different ways. We use a combination of foam insulation and a thick inner aluminum lining to provide insulation for hot or cold items. The bag’s outer material is a dense 1680D polyester material which also helps to provide an additional layer of insulation.
Question:	Does this come with dividers or can you get dividers
Answer:	It does not come with dividers. My dad cut out posterboard (like the kind that the politicians use for signs) and used that to cut out a frame / skeleton for the inside. It forces the bag to hold shape to the form of the skeleton. (Walls, and bottom).
Question:	How good is it to keep foods from freezer stay cold through out the trip of 5 hours
Answer:	I use it for trips from the Sam’s club to my house about 45 minutes away and in summer. Here in Texas the weather gets about 100 and the foods are still frozen. For a longer trip, you probably want to place the blue ice packs along with this. Please let me know as I have never traveled that far with frozen foods.

Answer:	It would depend how much frozen food you had in it. The more you are carrying, the food will keep each other cold longer. But I've certainly had frozen food stay frozen for over an hour with the bag about 1/2 full of both frozen and refrigerated foods.

Answer:	I haven't try it. But I think it is washable. Leave the insulation inside while washing to prevent the washing rotor damaging the insulation.

It's Really BIG!

Make no mistake - this bag is enormous! It is aimed at serious shoppers or meal delivery businesses that need to transport a lot of goods requiring insulation, quickly with minimal hassle.

A bag with this capacity can be very heavy when loaded with goods, so in addition to the standard carry handles, two shorter side handles are integrated into the design allowing it to be carried with both hands in a more comfortable position.

Another consideration is handle strength. During the design phase we added an additional reinforcing 'band' to encircle the entire bag at the point where the handles attach to the bag chassis. The main purpose of this is to minimize the chance of the handles tearing away from the bag if it is pulled sideways using just a single handle (we recommend using two handles to move the bag when loaded).

As mentioned in the title this bag is very big and it is deceptively easy to overfill it from a weight perspective so be aware of the overall weight of your items.

Question:	How do you clean it? Can it be put through the dishwasher with the washing machine
Answer:	The directions say to hand wash, I usually spot wash in the sink. Tonight we had a brownie mishap and brownie batter got all over it, there was no hand washing it. I put it in the washing machine by itself on delicate inside out and hung it to dry and it seems fine. I wouldn’t machine wash it often, I don’t know if the material can handle it but if you have a big mishap it’ll survive the washing machine!
Question:	How long will heated food stay warm in this container? I want to get for my husband to take to work for he doesn’t have a microwave
Answer:	I have used it for family meals and potluck dinners, so it was never more than a couple of hours. I would think that if the food is good and hot when packed and he doesn’t open it before lunch it should still be hot.
Question:	Is there a maximum "hot" temperature? I read on other products that the max temp was 200 degrees or inner lining melted
Answer:	Yes there is a max hot temperature. I put a wood cutting board or towel on the bottom to protect the inner lining from melting. But I like the carriers a lot and they do keep food warm.

Question:	can you take the dish straight out of the oven and put it into the carrier without burning the material? or do you need to line it with a towel
Answer:	It's lined in plastic. So if the dish is 400 degrees, I think you would want to wrap a dish towel around it first. just in case.
Question:	Is this machine washable
Answer:	The sauce spilled out on one dish and it looked ruined. I put it in the sink and used soap and a sponge then put it outside to dry. It's fine now. I don't think I would put it in the machine because the insulation might be compromised.
Question:	in the expandable carrier, can you put a hot item in one layer and a cold item in the other layer and will the items stay hot and cold respectively

Answer:	No heat pad, just the carrier. PBS's Cook's Country (America's Test Kitchen) looked at several casserole carriers and determined this one kept a 9"x13" 180 degrees F ziti casserole hot (140F or above) for 3 hours where the others they tested only did it for an hour. It also determined a 9"x13" casserole dish did NOT slip in this one. This one was their recommended choice which is why I'm getting one. When I bring food to Easter, Thanksgiving, etc. gatherings, I often bring a 12" x 9" disposable lasagna pan full of some veggie dish plus other food in a crock pot. I have a crock pot carrier and heat there isn't a problem because I can plug it in at the event. A 12 x 9 disposable pan may have to sit it inside a 13"x 9" glass or aluminum casserole dish to hold it steady, but that's not a problem for me.

It depends too much on the food, the weather, your vehicle, etc. I had 10 pizzas in my bag once and they would have stayed warm for hours, one bag from McDonalds 30 minutes on a cold day. The tote is kind of thin but is lined with insulation. I would buy again for the price.
