| Answer: | I have made my living as a plumber for over 30 years. As such I would not use this filter in a hot water system for 2 reasons. The filter is too small for the gpm rating that the washer will use and second the plastsic would not stand up to the hot water, the twist on cover for the strainer is too small to handle the heat from the amount of water being used. Why are you using hot water when the dishwasher has a heater in it for controlled heat for cleaning? Standard install uses cold water. Hope this helps |
