| Answer: | Sure can. You need a 3/4" fitting. However, garden hose faucets are not regulated by ANSI 61 which says No-Lead. No-Lead means less than 0.25% Lead. That is why they say not to drink the water from a hose. If you use an activated carbon filter you would reduce this amount of Lead from the hose fittings but it might not be the best solution. Just food for though. By the way, the filter housing has an NPT threaded fitting so you need to convert that to a hose fitting. Or you could get hose barbs and worm-gear clamps and connect a hose to the hose barbs with the clamps. If you use the hose barbs you would cut one end off of the garden hose and slide that over the hose bar. If you look up hose barbs, you want one that goes from the NPT male threads to the hose barb. The filter housing has female NPT thread in 3/4" size. And if you do some research and see some of these fittings you will know how simple this is. You can use teflon tape with NPT fittings to make the thread screw together tighter. Pick a method and go for it. There are filters already with hose connections for garden hoses, by the way. |
