8 best linchpins
Linchpins are a type of fastener commonly used in various industrial and mechanical applications. They serve as a secure and removable fastening solution to hold different components together. Here are some key points about linchpins:
Design and Functionality: Linchpins consist of a cylindrical body with a head on one end and a looped or bent leg on the other. The head typically has a small hole, while the looped leg allows for easy installation and removal. The basic design of a linchpin is to insert the looped leg through a hole or a shackle, and then secure it by inserting the head into the hole on the opposite side.
Applications: Linchpins are used in a wide range of industrial and agricultural equipment. They are often employed in machinery and vehicles to secure components such as wheels, axles, and attachments. Common applications include tractors, trailers, wagons, and other heavy machinery where quick and secure attachment is necessary.
Removability: One of the primary advantages of linchpins is their ease of removal. They can be quickly extracted by pulling the head, which allows for efficient maintenance and component replacement in various settings. This feature is especially important in situations where frequent assembly and disassembly are required.
Materials and Durability: Linchpins are typically made from durable materials like steel or stainless steel to withstand heavy loads and environmental conditions. They are designed to resist corrosion and wear, ensuring long-lasting performance.
Safety: Properly secured linchpins are essential for safety in industrial and agricultural equipment. Ensuring that linchpins are correctly installed and maintained is crucial to prevent accidents and equipment failures.
In summary, linchpins are versatile fasteners used in industrial and mechanical settings to securely hold components together while allowing for easy removal when needed. Their simple yet effective design makes them a valuable tool in various applications, particularly in the industrial and agricultural sectors.

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these good for running |
Answer: | No. I have wider feet and these were not too tight. Wider than Nike. |
Question: | Do these run narrow |
Answer: | These are women’s. I found them a bit tight so wished I’d ordered a bit bigger but I can still wear them. I use for walking |
Question: | Are sized listed mens (m) or womens? i see the description is women but size reflects (m), which typically means mens |
Answer: | Two orthopedic Drs. have recommended Saucony Grid shoes for the stability provided. Unfortunately, I can't remember the Drs. names. The grid heel is recommended for walkers and runners who have hip and knee pain. I have worn Saucony grid shoes for several years and have less knee and hip pain. I walk 4 - 5 miles 5X a week and change shoes as recommended-every 100 miles. The quality and price of Saucony makes this possible without breaking the bank. |
Question: | How good is the arch support for pronators |
Answer: | The Glarks 30Pcs Heavy Duty Lynch Pin Assortment Kit Was manufactured in China. The quality of these is very good. I believe it would be difficult to find lynch pins manufactured anywhere other than China or India. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this spring assisted |
Answer: | Yes, it has a pocket clip. |
Question: | Does it have a pocket clip |
Answer: | Yes, it uses the IKBS ball bearing system, and features the deadbolt locking system as well. |
Question: | Does this knife use ball bearings for deployment |
Answer: | I looked it up and found that it is an European alloy, not common here in the States. Here are some specs and comments from a Google search: "1.4116 only has .45% -.5% carbon, well under even 440A and about the same as 420HC. It also only has about 14.6% chromium. All the 440 steels have between 16% and 18% chromium. It really looks more to me like it falls between AUS-4 and AUS-6. It is actually very similar in its chemical composition to 425M.". I'm not sure that helps too much and I can't offer my personal opinion since I haven't carried or used this knife (I just enjoy new technology at reasonable prices). But I have used AUS steel blades for EDC knives, AUS is a good alloy that holds an edge and is rust resistant due to the low carbon content. Looking forward...Chris |

Some kids dream of being a ballplayer. Flavio wanted to be a knife maker. In his adolescence, he worked on knives of the Japanese sword variety in his father’s shop. He has gone on to learn metallurgy, to work with Ken Onion, and to become a force for innovation. Flavio brought to market the revolutionary IKBS ball bearing pivot system (with Rick Lala), evolved the classic locking liner with the ILS safety, and now has the impressively innovative Deadbolt as a feather in his cap.
