The Ice dispensing unit is a bit tricky to disassemble. I found a YouTube video that was helpful and used the GE parts diagram. Lay the parts out orderly and be especially aware of the order and position of the three grinding blades. Re-assembling was easier and the unit now works as good as new. |

There will be similar looking buckets and augers but you must get the exact one your model requires. We did this about a year ago and bought. It was very, very, simple to install ... you just put it in just like you do when you take your present one out to dump the cubes or clean in there and then put it back. |

| Answer: | It doesn’t. It is real bad. Every other day or sometimes every day, I have to take off the mountains of ice, and throw it away, bc the refrigerator starts making bad noises when the bucket is full. It is very bad. It never stop making ice. Very disappointed with it. |
