There is no ongoing cost for this exept nails and it seems to work pretty good, Im sure it would preform well on solid hardwood (it will go through a formica countertop no problem and into wood below it). It's a semi precision tool and it wont take much abuse, but overall it really has alot more power than i thought it would. I'd say go for it. |

| Answer: | It should. The stapler works with a wide variety of staple lengths. You want a shorter staple that will drive all the way down so as to firmly press against the fabric. The harder the wood, the shorter the length needed. I got one of those "variety packs", so I could experiment. I did OK with 1/4" tongs. You may need longer depending on how heavy the fabric is. |
