Question:	What is the cost of the software and what do I need
Answer:	You can get free software. I grbl is free to convert STL to GCODE. Anything that can generate a STL file will work.
Question:	Does the 3018-prover come with clamps? i don't see any pictured or mentioned
Answer:	There are some basic clamps that use bolts placed in the t-track of the bed.

Question:	Is this too loud for someone living in an apartment? Is it quieter like a Dremel, or more like a more powerful power tool
Answer:	I have this in an apartment and I run it as part of a business. The noise level depends on what you are doing with it. When doing light engraving it's not too bad. However, when cutting/milling with a spiral up-cutting bit or doing a deeper v groove/engraving, it is quite loud and it is even louder now that I have the 20000 RPM spindle (highly recommended for proper feeds/speeds by the way). As Brian mentioned, the dust is an issue as well. To address both of these issues, I built an enclosure similar to the one by James Dean Designs; however mine is simpler and lined with pink insulation foam that I cut into sound foam with a larger V bit. This contains the dust and noise for the most part. I also had to put extra TPU feet under the machine inside the enclosure to dampen the vibrations. Even with these precautions I only run my PROVer during business hours for noise reasons. The only problem with the enclosure is that is makes it a bit difficult to reach the sockets in the back if you are going to be switching between and spindle and laser engraver. IF YOU BUILD AN ENCLOSURE BE SURE TO MOUNT THE EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON ON THE OUTSIDE.

Question:	Is it programmable
Answer:	I really don't remember if the clamps came with it or not. It did come with the complete set of collets and wrenches. I have 2 sets of clamps so maybe one set came with it, I know I had to buy the little milling vise, and a drill chuck. Everything for this machine is pretty expensive but first quality. I have a bigger milling machine now, and I will be selling my MF70, but only because it was too small for the bigger steam engines I am building.

Question:	How does this cut in wood
Answer:	Sorry, I cannot find my .75 mill right now. However, it doesn't really matter. The grooves will cause the cut material to be a little oversize because it will not be removed between the points. But not nearly as much oversize as the groove depth, because the points and grooves on each flute do not align with the other flutes. In other words, what one flute doesn't remove, another will, so the finish will be a lot smoother than the screw-like threads of the tool. If you want more removed than that, you will need to measure your part and make another cutting pass with either the same roughing mill or a plain finish mill. On parts I have made, I purposely left the ripple finish from the roughing mill because I think it is pretty.
Question:	assuming the OD diamiter of the tool is .75, what is the dimension of the inner grooves of the serrated feature

Answer:	It is a center cutting end mill just like a two flute end mill.

Answer:	It would depend on the size of your dremel but I think this would be overkill for detailed wood work. But technically, yes it can.

Question:	Are these downcut type
Answer:	I believe they are Burrs and neither upcut or downcut however, they have an appearance of being upcut. Although I have them, I have not used them yet.
Question:	Are these upcut or downcut? Can this vital piece of information be added to your product specs please
Answer:	The machine can engrave aluminum as far as cutting it it would take a very long time depending on the hardness. To engrave I would set the passing depth at 0.5mm and the feed rate between 150 and 300 mm/min, spindle speed between 300 and 500 rpm. Aim a cooling fan at the work piece and keep a vacuum handy.
Question:	will these cut aluminum
Answer:	I am just a consumer of this product and can not answer. My guess is that it is similar to when you call your next door neighbor on the phone, or test somebody who lives with you in the same house. It's just how the routing of the package works.
Question:	Why is amazon shipping from Baltimore to Kentucky and back to baltimore
Answer:	It is not a "flood" system. It sprays a mist of coolant directly at the endmill, etc. It provides plenty of cooling/lubrication for basic milling or turning. But not heavy cutting.
