Answer: | Well, the cutting point of the insert tip should be on the centerline of the material being cut. I often experiment with raising and even lowering the insert tip a thousandths or so. Can't say for sure to help you. You may have gotten a boring bar from a "bad" lot of bars. It happens. Experiment with speed (rpm's) also. |
