The reason is there is not enough surface area to create a strong bond, also CA glues do not act as a solvent which will melt the surfaces and create an almost welded repair. I would think those little prongs are made from ABS plastic and you can get glue from a local hardware store that is made to glue ABS piping together. It is solvent based and may be your best bet. There are some flexible CA glues available that may survive the flexing, but not sure. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | I use this for a lot of things. Every so often I end up accidentally gluing my finger to something or something to my finger nails. It glues wood, metal and lots of other stuff to my fingernails really well. So, while I haven't purposely glued tips on my nails, I would expect it to work unless the tips are teflon or something like that. If you don't use accelerator you will have a very very short time to position the tips on your nails. With accelerator, you will have almost no time to reposition. You might find that the Thick version might work better. It will stay in place better and give you a little more time for positioning if you need it. Wear eye protection when working with this. Edit: CA glue is not suitable for filling gaps. The tip would have to have good surface contact with your nail for this glue to really bond it. |

Clamp it: clamp objects together for 2 hours. Full cure in 24 hrs. You can use heavy objects to achieve clamping pressure. Not recommended for use on polyethylene or polypropylene plastics. | Answer: | First off, never use soap and water initially, or it will just make it alot harder (nearly impossible) to remove. The best solution I have found is to just use Goop all by itself first. The stuff with pumice seems to work best. Anyway, apply the Goop to your hands and rub them together vigorously, use one hand to wrap around each finger of the other a clean each finger individually, then repeat with the other hand, then sprwad your fingers on both hands and interlace them to get between all fingers. THEN (very important) wipe off your hands completely with a DRY paper towel or rag. If your hands still feel at all sticky, then do the above AGAIN. Once you have wiped off all the glue and most of the goop with the paper towels you can wash your hands if desired, but it would be best to wait if you can as the goop will continue to break down the slight glue residue. If after all this you still have sticky hands tyou can make them less annoying by applying talcum (baby) powder. |
