Answer:	It's about up to the mid shin on a leg and the crucible is just big enough to wrap both hands around with a little space in between the fingers , depending on how big the hands are.

Answer:	In order to do that you would have to have a regular propane nozzle ,( the outside thread kind ) and the pressure in whatever tank your using to produce your gas would have to be enough that the nozzle creates enough pressure to actually have the gas burn hot enough for a continuous flame , it's difficult to do that because most people use manure to produce their natural gas, but if you put 20 lbs of manure in a pressurized tank with a propane nozzle on it for about two weeks with a little bit of h20 and possibly some natural sulfur powder, you have enough pressure to have a continuous flame that can burn at about 2000 degrees F for about an hour. Just depends on whether your really good at welding and making airtight catches , that don't mean ANY gas if you are you could even just take a propane tank , cut it in half and make a latch on the back side of it, but you would have to be really good at seals and I mean really good, then you could make a refillable manure and sulfur furnace , that is equitable to a mild propane. Anywhere from 2000 to 2300 degrees Fahrenheit

The higher the merv the smaller the particles filtered, but the higher your power use as your air handler has to work harder to pull through the finer filter. Answer:	I purchased the tape to seal my gas furnace flue joints because of its ability to maintain its sealing properties and integrity in the high heat environment generated by a furnace. That being said, it would seem to be prohibitively expensive for the application suggested (taping foam to a garage door). Perhaps a less expensive alternative should be explored.
Question:	What kind of debris will a new air filter capture
Answer:	I have never removed it while it was still adhered to the pipe. It will loosen itself if the temp exceeds 550 to 600*
Question:	Will such a high merv rating be okay for my air handler
Answer:	No. Aluminum isn’t durable when exposed to wood combustion byproducts, and it’s unlikely your peak temperature is below 600F. For a wood stove the correct way to seal the flue is to have a stove pipe that makes a tight friction fit on the outlet collar. If you have and old out of round tube with a snap-together seam buy a new tube with a welded seam. If you still can’t get as good a seal as you want, the only things I know of that will survive the 2100F temperature of an over-firing of the stove, a failed catalytic converter, or a chimney fire are 2000F muffler and tailpipe sealants, refractory cement, kaolin wool refractory material, and “water glass”. These are all cured at high temperature because they all use “water glass” as a binder (glue). Water glass is silica (glass) dissolved in (alkaline) water. The filler material in muffler cement/sealer/putty and refractory cement are similar, the grain size is smaller in the muffler products making them more useful in tight spaces. Kalolin wool is a non-asbestos mineral fiber available in thin wool strips and ropes that might’ve be useful for sealing stove outlet. All of these should be used to seal the inside of the joint. Combustion products would tend to erode the area of a leak and make an external seal ineffective in the long run.

Why MERV rating and filter thickness is important?

MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value and is an industry standard to rate a filters efficacy. We recognize this is not very easy to understand for consumers, so we developed our simple to use application naming system. Simply pick the filter that suits your needs.

Most standard air filters are 1 - 2 inches in thickness. Whereas media filters are typically 3 to 5 inches in thickness. The best way to measure your air filter size is to get out the measuring tape and measure it directly. Also your current filter probably has the dimensions printed on the frame.

Whenever you are choosing an air filter, make sure that you compare the nominal and actual size of the furnace filter that you are replacing. In this case, the ‘nominal’ size of the filter is 16x25x4 while the ‘actual’ size of the filter is 15.5 x 24.5 x 3.75. Generally, the nominal size is rounded and in bigger print while the actual size is in smaller print and in parenthesis to the side.

The AFB Silver MERV 8 filter is designed to last 3 months, or 3 times the average fiberglass filter.

Note that AFB filters come in AFB Bronze (Merv 6), AFB Silver (Merv 8), AFB Gold (Merv 11), and AFB Platinum (Merv 13). Question:	Can this product be used on a charcoal smoker
Answer:	I doubt that you would damage your furnace with the reduced airflow from using the very fine, MERV 13 air filter. If the furnace sensed that it had too little of an airflow, the air furnace safety features should engage, and shut off your furnace. I have been using these MERV 13 filters for over three years now. I once discovered that when I went to replace the MERV 13 air filter (on my 8 week replacement schedule), I discovered that the filter had buckled in the center, thus allowing air to bypass the filter. (A blocked air filter is actually a good testimony to the air filter's ability to filter out and trap small particles of dust, etc.) I solved the problem of having filters buckle, by drilling a total of six small holes in the left side and right side of the air filter housing frame. I then ran a straightened coat hangar wire through the holes horizontally from the left side to the right side. The horizontal wire were equally spaced every 6 inches apart in the 25 inch tall filter. The horizontal wires support the air filter and keep it from buckling. Using the ultra-high filtration of a MERV 13 air filter instead of a lower numbered MERV filter means that your air filter will filter out more airborne contaminants, but you will find that this necessitates you may need to change the filter more often than before.
