Question:	Has anyone experience horizontal cracks on the side of the UV cover after starting to use the machine? I start to see some but not sure why
Answer:	This can also be caused (assuming the covers are acrylic) by exposure to alcohol or even window cleaners with alcohol. This is a typical issue in acrylic fabrication shops. Points of stress (i.e. glued seams, heat polished edges, or bending) are the most sensitive.
Question:	Can this printer be used with Simplify 3D software for slicing or does it have to be the Chitu box slicer
Answer:	no it can't this is not about proprietary lock in. LCD Masking printers do not have "tool paths" (which is what slicers generate) they display a Masking Image on an LCD screen and permit UV light to "pass" where you want resin to cure. so the "file" is quite literally a GIF of sorts a set of "pictures" one image per layer. you can't use S3D or Cura or Slic3r because they literally "can't make" this kind of a file. there is no X or Y there is only "z" and "burn time" and "what image to display" the Chitu software is very good and this machine has an AMAZING feature wherein you can define bottom layers their burn time and normal burn time "ON THE MACHINE" dynamically. burn time too long or short? you don't have to reslice just change it right on the display. hands down the best UI I have EVER seen on a resin machine!

Answer:	I emailed the company about beginner mode on the D80 to ask how to turn it off and they replied that there was not a beginner mode. It seems like the correct answer as this flies very fast with the default settings. I've flown a different drone in beginner mode before and then with it off and the D80 definitely flies like it's not in beginner mode.

Answer:	This is the original Photon, not the Photon S. Difference between the two...Photon S has a dual lead screw for the Z axis while the Photon is single, Photon's outer case is made from metal, Photon S is plastic (door is somewhat flimsy as a result). For the difference in price, you are better off getting the Photon. You can always get the dual-leadscrew conversion kit later on, if you want to. But print quality is no different to the naked eye.

Answer:	I have yet found a resin to upgrade to the dual screw setup....I would say my most used photon has close to 5000 hours of print time and has not failed. But many print supply places carry the parts to upgrade it

Answer:	No. I recommend the water washable resin. It costs a bit more but you get the same results without the hassle and expense of buying 90%+ alcohol to rinse your completed pieces and wash the tank.
Question:	I saw a new review on this machine saying that now it comes with some sort of protection for the screen and was wondering if this true
Answer:	I can confirm there is no actual screen protector on the bare lcd. There is a shipping protector, but because of its application at the factory it's unusable as a screen protector. I asked elegoo directly about it or a suggestion for one and was told there isn't and won't be, because they offer a "limited" warranty on the screen itself. That limited warranty and the down time wasn't acceptable to me. I wound up snagging a tablet screen protector(not a matte finish) from walmart and overlaying it before I did anything, and it's worked fine since. Tldr, it's still a bare screen. There is a thin one on it for shipping purposes, but it's inadequate for protection uses.
Question:	Carbon filters are consumable, are you serious that we can't buy replacements? @Elegoo
Answer:	The carbon filters are absolutely replaceable. They just dont sell any specially made replacement cartidges. And you will have to open the printer to change the carbon filter. However the factory installed carbon filter will work for hundreds of printing hours if not more. Ive had my printer for about 2 months nonstop printing and have never noticed an odor

Question:	Is this unit required to use with the anycubic 3d printers
Answer:	no, it is not required. Just pay attention to the size of the bucket that came with this machine and make sure your 3d printed models are not larger than the bucket. You should be fine if you use any of those small size resin printers like Elegoo Mars, Mars Pro, Mars Pro 2, Phorzen sonic mini.....just to name a few.
Question:	Does the Elegoo Mars Pro build plate hook into this or will it need an adapter
Answer:	No! it does not fit Mars Pro's build plate. The build plate knob and the adjustable bracket come in contact with each other just a bit, but the diameter of the build plate screw is too big for the 2 adapters that come with the Anycubic unit. I will put both of the parts in a vise and reem them out with a drill to widen it enough to accept the build plate screw. Otherwise just remove the print and put it in the basket.
Question:	Can you put the build plate from the anycubic photon mono x in it or do you need to take your work off the build plate and wash it separately
Answer:	I don’t have the mono X but both the Photon and Photon mono SE both fit in along with the build just fine. The hit has an adjustable height bracket to hand the build plates so they are immersible in the IPA capacity of the provided container.
Question:	Mine spins the platform for a half second, stops, then starts constantly beeping. Anyone have this happen
Answer:	there's an IR light in the back, if you don't have the lid on the right way (there's a white square on one side) to trigger that IR sensor it won't work. It's a safety measure.

Answer:	I do not believe there is any sort of sensor to determine when there is no resin remaining.

Question:	Would you recommend this for me being a beginner
Answer:	Yes I would. Buy standard opaque Resins first. Look to find $19 or less per 500ml or $37 for 1 liter. I have great luck with elegoo and no odor in our family room. Clean parts with 70%+ IPA or cheap paint Dept miracle cleaner for $5 a gal. Sharp details and if you don’t want to buy a UV light at 405nm wavelength then sit it in the direct sun for an hour or so. It will be fine. Also download Chitubox for the free slicer to try out to see if you get it and watch videos.
Question:	How many hours can the lcd last? how long does one fep sheet last
Answer:	It can go on for 10-20 prints sessions easily or more if you don't scrape it with anything. Remember to push the messed up and stuck prints from the backside of the FEP with a clean finger and nothing abrasive (even microcloths can scratch). I bought a 6 or 8 pack for around $20 and replacement is easy.
Question:	Are there replacement lcd screens available
Answer:	Its likely a DXQ608-X04 screen. Thats the 6.08 inch mono screen being used in 3d printers now. They can be purchased directly from chitusystems.
Question:	Is this printer easy to use for a beginner ad how good does this work and the qualitys
Answer:	Yes it is very easy but order extra FEP sheets. Some have them 8 for less than $26. Buy simple resins to start. Use alcohol or even a cheap $5 gallon of those miracle cleaners in the paint departments work. Wear gloves. The smell is not bad when covered. I have no idea why anyone would want one with a fan / filter. Just more costs. I print in the family living room with no smell at all. You can download Chitubox for free and try the slicer. I love mine and the detail with normal UV resin is astounding.

Answer:	Yes and no. This would be great for producing the original model, but the resin would be toxic when burned. Use this to make a master for molding with silicone, and then make a wax model in that mold to melt out safely.

Question:	Can you handle your print with bare hands after washing in ISP or do you need to cure your print first
Answer:	Please wear gloves even after washing your in ISP and while placing it in the curing chamber. Once fully cured, the print will be able to be handled without gloves.

Answer:	It is in the 405nm range. Find out if that suits your resin.

Answer:	No. The booths timer once set leaves the light on till it runs out. Plain and simple

Answer:	This curing chamber can be used with any resin based printer. The UV wavelength is 405; as long as the resin used with other brand resin printers use the 405 wavelength it will cure the print fully.

Please do not take away the box cover while the machine is working.

To avoid overheating of the curing cabinet, please do not use it for more than 40 minutes at a time.

After the model is printed, please clean and blow-dry the model before putting it into the curing machine.

The recommended ambient temperature is 0-40 degrees, and the ambient humidity temperature is 20%-50%.

If the model become yellow after curing, please adjust the curing time. Over curing will lead to a yellowing model.

Answer:	The Wi-Fi is onky for the camera feed. The quad copter works fine without a Wi-Fi signal , but you will have no camera. Also the wifi is a direct Wi-Fi signal between the camera and the phone. Not like the free WiFi at McDonald's

Question:	Can the resin shipped with the system be used to print functional parts ( such as electronic enclosures) that will be in direct sunlight post curing
Answer:	It could, but the Resin it comes with is pretty brittle
Question:	Has anyone had problems with the usb drive? i have tried 6 different drive. i just opened a ticket with them
Answer:	I just received my machine and it was version 2.9.9, the current version is 5.0.2 and updated them to UI 2.6. I used a Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 64GB to update it went smoothly and was pretty fast. I did reformat the drive fro FAT 32 with Disk Utility on the Mac.
Question:	Given the max work dimension are: 4.53"(L) x 2.56"(W) x 6.49"(H), can a single tray of the resin build a solid block of this max size
Answer:	No. A solid block filling the work area would take almost 1.25 liters of resin. The suggested max amount of resin in the vat is approx 75-100 ml So you would have to add resin 12 times or so in order to build that solid block :-)
