User questions & answers

Question:	If I print something on the fast setting will it have a lower quality than if I print the same thing on the slow setting
Answer:	Typically yes. The higher the speed the lower the quality of the print. The more complex the shape, the more your quality will suffer from the higher speed.
Question:	Every time I start a print, the extruder just ends up scratching the print bed tape and making a "clicking" noise. What do I do to fix this
Answer:	This is a very simple issue to solve. The clicking noise means that the extruder and the print bed is too close. You will need to do a Z OFFSET adjustment. Because it is too close, you would need to INCREASE the Z OFFSET value to about 2 A4 paper sliding through extruder head and print bed smoothly. Lastly, you MUST run "home axes" in order to activate the Z OFFSET adjustment.This printer is not completely calibration free, I would say this printer is more like manual calibration free. The Z OFFSET calibration is much easier than any of the calibration I have done on other 3D printers. You should be able to print perfectly after the Z OFFSET adjustment!
Question:	Does the printer ship with filament
Answer:	The printer will come with 300g filament.
Question:	The extruded plastics cannot stick on the print bed and just turn into noodle stirngs, how do I fix this
Answer:	It seems like you will need to do a Z OFFSET adjustment. The reason that the plastics are not sticking is because the distance between the extruder head and print bed is too far. In this case, you will need to DECREASE the Z OFFSET value to bring the distance closer. The most ideal space between the extruder head and print bed is to have 2 A4 paper sliding through smoothly. Try to decrease the Z OFFSET value by 0.1 at a time until you reach the perfect distance of 2 A4 paper sliding through. Lastly, you MUST hit "home axes" to ACTIVATE the adjustments you have done. This plastic not sticking issue and extruder scratching print bed tape issue are the two most common issue with this 3D printer. I have seen countless of people frustrated over these two issue and I must say xyzprinting did a very bad job on informing its customers to do this adjustment.However, be sure to adjust your Z OFFSET to the ideal 2 A4 paper sliding through print bed and extruder smoothly! After this adjustment, this 3D printer actually work golden.
