Answer: I'm running it with 24v with no issue. FETs do not even get warm and all bulk caps are 35v rated. I am not familiar with a mks spec. It's a far better implementation then the original RAMPs 1.4 + uC boards. Heat dissipation on the stepper drivers is good. Running at 1.5A with no additional sink or air flow. Drivers run at about 60C.

Answer: It's likely your firmware overwrote the bootloader. Just burn a new bootloader onto the chip or use an AVR ISP programmer to upload your firmware without a bootloader.

Answer: I guess technically you could make this work for nearly any printer. It's an open source board that allows you to load up your own firmware and program it as you wish. Would likely need to rewire stuff and make custom mounts unless the printers stock board is an mks 1.4

Answer: I have yet to order this board, but I am aware that marlin anet a8 config is available to flash to this board. The same steps as you would with the anet a8 minus a few connection changes for the board type, other than that you should have no issues with marlin , this board, and the anet a8.

Answer: No mods needed, the uart support is built in to the board.

Answer: If you use a 24v power supply, the fan outputs are 24v, if you use a 12v power supply the fan outputs are 12v

Answer: V3 is already in uart mode no soldering required. On the SKR they are pretty much plug and play just set the jumpers.

After the SKR main board is powered on, the red light of the D4 in the lower left corner will light up, indicating that the power supply is normal; the 5V SEL in the middle of the board is the power selection end;

1)When using USB to power the motherboard, connect the +5V and USB pins with a shorting cap.

2)When using 12V-24V power supply, connect the +5V and INT pins with the shorting cap;

NOTE:It can be connected to [12V-24V power supply] and [USB] at the same time. The printing process must use the shorting cap to connect the +5V and INT pins.



SKR motherboard communicates with computer:

The SKR motherboard communicates with the computer through the [USB] interface. After the driver is installed, the motherboard is inserted into the computer to recognize the port for data transmission. It is easy to see that the computer does not recognize the USB port without installing the driver.

Question: Will this board work with 24v input and does it require an external mosfet at 24v on the ender 3? others suggest that it is not necessary
Answer: Yes. You need an adapter.
Question: has anyone gotten the tmc2130 drivers to worK? I got the drivers with the board but no go. jumpers are set correctly
Answer: These are mostly meant for 3d printers, although I guess they could work for some CNC applications. The fan port is there for a parts cooling fan with PWM control. Not really an issue on most CNC machines.
Question: Is this board equally suited for CNC , same ....right
Answer: You would need to flash newer firmware (which has thermal runaway enabled by default in Marlin) in order for it to work with your printer. Thermal Runaway is a software feature.
Question: Is there a configuration manual for this board? Nothing in box except a bag of jumpers and no idea how they config
Answer: If they're BigTreeTeech TMC2208 then it doesn't matter if it's soldered or not, just plug them into the SKR 1.4 board. But... look at the manual under UART (manual is online) and it will show you the two pins you need to keep a jumper across on the board, under where the driver goes, to enable uart for that driver.

Answer: All you need is a .cursor file, does not matter if it is the original or not

Answer: Yes. It's just a matter of configuring dual motors in the Marlin firmware configuration.h and configuration_adv.h files. In fact the Marlin firmware already includes a folder with a few default configurations. The CR-10 being one of then. You would just need to make a few minimal changes including board type to get up and running quickly.

Answer: grey out that line, it's not necessary if there is no operator

Answer: I think it is. If I remember correctly Micheal Laws of teaching tech has a video about the TCM2209 and I recall it was with the SKR V1.3.
