Are these brass, or brass coated steel

You remove the 2 arbor plates on any 4.5" (or 5") angle Grinder, and just screw that backing plate on.The disks then screw on to the remaining few threads that stick out the middle of the backing plate. Sometimes the back of the backing plate will rub against adjustable levers on the guards of angle grinders like Dewalt's, but that's not an issue. Just run it, and the guard will remove whatever plastic needs to be trimmed down without hurting the performance of the backing plate.This piece is just a backing pad for the 3M Cubitrom Fibre disks though. The disks cost extra.... A LOT EXTRA. They're worth every penny though given time saved on production, superior finish, safer operation etc...
