Answer:	The shifter is a 6-speed,works only with PXN V3III wheels because it connects to the wheel not to the computer. For reverse, you push down on the stick then put it in 6th gear for reverse.

Question:	Can I use this dry? That is without liquid compound or water. I am using a small 5 lb dry tumbler to deburr small aluminum parts
Answer:	For some reason I think one of the legs doesn’t fully touch the floor so it a little off, making it just a bit wobbly. It’s not unsafe though, it won’t tilt over. However, with daily use by middle school students it could tilt or they may just keep rocking it to see if it will (kids will be kids), let me add, it is sturdy enough to hold books, laptops, I use it for when I preach outdoors, indoors, I like that it’s adjustable, so I can lower it to any height for standing or sitting. I lean on it as well and I weigh 190 lbs. The little wobble could be a distraction if you let it. I brought mine 2 years ago and its held up pretty good, here’s the better part, you can actually fit it in your car, the assembly is easy. Hope this helps.

Answer:	What medium is recommended to tumble glass to make sea glass

Answer:	Instructions are included with all our grit kits but here is the recap. Start with Step 1 and proceed through Step 4. Use 2 Tbs. grit for every pound of rock for Steps 1 & 2. Use 1 Tbs. grit for every pound of rock for Steps 3 and 4. If you have alot of empty space in the tumbler, use pellets to get the tumbler to about 2/3 full. Cover the stones, grit and pellets with water. Run each step for 7 days. Rinse off the rocks between each Step. Do not use the plastic pellets in different steps because they can have grit embedded in them. Save them for your next tumble and use them in the same Stage as you did in the previous tumble.
Question:	Can the plastic pellets be used for burnishing
Answer:	Yes, I have read where people can use the plastic pellets along with soap and water to burnish tumbled rocks. The main thing about burnishing is the soap which cleans pretty much all the grit from the rocks and gives them a nice shine. The only thing I know about the plastic pellets, however, is that you should use fresh pellets for each phase of your tumbling because the various grits can get stuck in the pellets and end up scratching your finished product. So if you use fresh pellets in the burnishing phase it will help cushion the rocks while the soap cleans them.

Answer:	I only use this in a rotary tumbler. They do wear, but very slowly. I have about six months of run time on my current set and expect it to outlast my tumbling career.

Answer:	I looked it up. They're made in the USA at Polyplastics in Farmington Hills, Michigan

Answer:	The ceramic is generally used to cushion the stones or glass, in your case, during tumbling. It will have some abrasive action but it is very smooth. You will probably also need some silicone carbide grit along with the ceramic to smooth out the glass. If it is rough, you would start with Stage 1 or Stage 2 grit, then go to Stages 3 or 4. If it is already smooth, you can start with Stage 3 and finish with Stage 4. If you want a rougher frosted look, don't use Step 4. Run the tumbler 2-3 days at each step and check whether you are getting the effect you like. You can use the ceramic during every step. Just rinse it off the grit between stages. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I have successfully reutilized Poly Pellets numerous times. I Make sure to rinse them really well and let them Dry before storing them in a plastic jar marked for that step of tumbling and only reuse the pellets in the same step. Your rock results come out better that way and the pellets seem to hold up longer. Of course the more abrasive the step, the less longer the pellets last. As I rotate my pellets up a step as they begin to shrink in size from use, I always save my new pellets for the fourth and of fifth (burnishing) steps. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The pellets don't actually polish but work as an aid when tumbling with the polishing medium.
Question:	How many beads do you use with 3 pounds of rocks, also which stage do use them with, 1, 2, 3 and or
Answer:	Just enough to fill the drum to 3/4 full, rocks and beads. Sometimes I use them on stages 2 3and4.
Question:	can the pellets be sifted from the media? and reused
Answer:	I sift out the pellets from each coarseness of medium, rinse them off and save them in a zip lock bag identifying which coarseness they were used with. That way I just find the appropriate bag and reuse them.

Answer:	it's about the size of a pocket folder. It will not hold a 3 ring notebook. I was hoping it would hold my son's performance notebook but it won't.

Answer:	A bit rough for burnishing. Plastic pellets or rouge walnut shells or other plastic media products are better for burnishing.

Answer:	No, you want to use crushed walnut shells for reloading.

Answer:	I wouldn't put new ceramic media into the polishing phase because it might scratch the polished rocks. I always keep some ceramic media that has been through a couple of cycles and has all the sharp edges worn down. I can use the worn media in the polishing phase and not have to worry about scratching the polished rocks.
Question:	Can i use this product in polishing phase only
Answer:	There is plenty ceramic pellets for 2, 3# barrels. Remember, when you load what ever you're tumbling, the barrels should be about half full. If not, add pellets to make up the difference. Wash and reuse the pellets.

Answer:	The sound quality is fine, I mean you get what you pay for but I found that it's worth it. Kind of bright sound, but I naturally have a bright tone so that might not mean much. Other than that it should be clear as long as enough air is used.

Answer:	Not 100% but they keep the stones from hitting each other real hard.
Question:	I understand that I use grit with this, but do I still use water? Or does this replace the water allowing for a dry tumble

Question:	Can this be used to give clean, rectangularly cut glass a "seaglass" look? It is a frosted look with edges that have been filed down. Thank you

Question:	I am new to this and have a 3lb tumbler how much of each grit do I put in for each stage of tumbling? Is there instructions for this
Answer:	you need to put 4 tablespoons in each stage. I would also check each stage every two days instead of five to seven as instructions state. you can hand take your rocks out and reuse the contents until you move to each next stage.
Question:	Are these carbide powders good for flattening sharpening stones
Answer:	if you want to flatten them out, and don't want to spend the money on new ones and instead buy the stuff and take the time to flatten them out, I'd be looking at using diamond to get them to their very best,, if they are that good that flattening them is worth the time and money. You can get the diamond grit or dust cheap enough and it goes a lot farther, the carbide might work on sone stones, but the better ones would need something better I would think, it is really going to depend on the sharpening stone, if it is really hard and fine, then this stuff would just ruin then because it is too coarse, fast, but if it was fast enough and good enough, then I would think they would be selling it for that on amazon, if there is a buck to be made, they sell it here.
