Answer:	Probably, but telescopic gages depend a bit on user technique, so practice with a known bore. Also, it is necessary to rock the gage in the bore to find the minimum diameter, so the reach will be less than the handle length. More expensive gages have smoother action and should be more precise, but +/-0.001 is achievable.

Answer:	they come in a light weight soft side plastic case. they need to be stored where things can't get put on top of them.
Question:	What sort of case do they come in
Answer:	They have a spring that works to extend the arms and you tighten the threaded locking device on the end of the handle when the two arms are at the narrowest point. It takes a feel to get the exact. You try to tighten the just tight enough while at an angle in the hole that they won't extend but can still be pushed in by you moving the tool to and then past it's shortest point the theoretical diameter of the hole and then getting the lock tightened while this is happening. Then you use a mircrometer to measure across the two arms. These anytime tool ones are not the greatest. They work but are touchy at best. Answer:	Doubtful. If the material is soft enough to cut that far with a hone, the hone will probably load up and stop cutting long before you remove 1/8". If the material is hard, you'll be at it for a long, long time, if it ever gets there. Best to enlarge the hole with something else, such as a reamer, and finish the last few thousandths with the hone.

Answer:	The shaft is approximately 7" long. You won't be able to measuere cam bearings from the fron and it will probably be too long to measure them between the webs of the block. I reccomend a standard internal mike or one that is extended. now for the cylinders, this works every bit as good as the big $$$ ones. Hope that helpls.

Answer:	I recommend using the same engine oil that will be used in the engine once completed. Of course it will be washed away when cleaning up but its one less chemical variance to introduce when engine building.

Answer:	Definitely very fine grit. I'd compare it to a 1200-1500 that you'd use for wet sanding.

Answer:	It should work just fine for that bore application. The hone is on a flexible shaft, thus with the variation in the abrasive material and the flex shaft, it will hone that diameter. These hones cut very well, so go light and fast on each pass to make sure you don't remove too much material (assuming an aluminum piston?).

Answer:	The flex hone size is supposed to match your bore size and if your bore falls between standard Flex-Hone sizes, the next larger standard Flex-Hone should be selected. Thus the 3" (76mm) is the correct size for a 75mm bore. You should also select the right grit for your application. You can determine this by visiting the Flex-Hone web site at www.brushresearch.com.
