User questions & answers

Question: Which blade comes with the saw please. is it the one for green wood or dry wood
Answer: The dry wood blade comes with the saw.
Question: Where is this saw made
Answer: I believe the company is German and they are having the saws assembled in Portugal. All I know is they are TOP quality, sharp as a razor and I would not trade any of the several we have around here. For the price you simple cannot go wrong.
Question: The title and the description contradict each other. Can you tell me if this is meant to cut green wood or dry wood
Answer: From the Bahco website: "Type 23 blade for green wood."Please note that the picture itself is also wrong, it shows a straight-toothed "peg" blade which would actually be used for dry wood. The 10-30-23 (this model) actually uses a "raker" blade. You can see the actual saw here: https://www.bahcostore.com/images/xlarge/10-30-23.jpg
Question: What's the biggest diameter tree anyone has cut with this
Answer: I also cut a 12" tree trunk with this but I had to attack it from multiple sides. And it took like 10-15 minutes with several breaks to rest & catch my breath & rest my arms & to switch hands & stuff. I then ended up doing this two more times & then was able to haul these 12" x 18" rounds away from the fallen tree site in our front yard & into our garage for splitting & firewood prep work. Tree was COMPLETELY gone shortly after with no trace. Ripped out all the roots soon after, turned every inch of that tree into firwood & I've used probably 85% of it & saved a few, select pieces for keepsakes & others to further cure & add color & variety to my firewood racks. 👍

User questions & answers

Question: Is this product made in Sweden or Spain? Thanks
Answer: New ones are now made in Spain, and is stated on the product info page
Question: What is the width of the jaws? I'm thinking of using it as a cone wrench for bicycle repair
Answer: First if all you will love this wrench, adjustable jaw 1 1/4, alligator jaw 3/4 tapered to 1/4 works great. I've been able to grab 1/4 head sheet metal screws
Question: So what makes these particularly better than other adjustable wrenches
Answer: Short handle with wide mouth, let's you take up the slack in nuts or pipe fittings quick before getting out the big pipe or torque wrench.... Great fit, finish and Laser etched scale are just a bonus. I never go to sea without my fishtailed bahco 😉
Question: Is this product still made in Sweden? Thanks
Answer: Interesting question. I had assumed it was, because I lost my treasured wrench and was so delighted to find a replacement on Amazon. The one I received has the same look and feel and it has the Bhaco Fish logo, but it does not say Made in Sweden. There is no Country of mfg. stamped on it. It is excellent quality, same as my old one. The jaw position is held nicely without a lot of slop and the wrench is thin (as compared to Crescent), just like the old one. I'm very pleased.

User questions & answers

Question: does it have mm marking or only inch
Answer: Mine has both. Inches on one side and mm on the other.
Question: Where is it made
Answer: Spain, same as Snap-on’s version
Question: Why is this not available for shipping to California? Its a normal adjustable wrench
Answer: Hi, Some items are unable to be shipped to California because of proposition 65. It requires businesses/manufacturers to provide warning labels on products to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. Amazon has this in their help section as well. Tools: California requires the following notice: WARNING: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are: lead from lead-based paints, crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber. Your risk from exposure to these chemicals varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure, work in a well-ventilated area and with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.
Question: how wide do the jaw open

User questions & answers

Question: How many are available to purchase
Answer: H we have now 48 pieces in stock. Thanks
Question: where can i get replacement blades for the 665 scraper
Answer: They are shown right next to the scraper on Amazon. Part #442 or #451 depending on the size you want.
Question: Where is this scraper manufactured
Answer: Oops!!! I rechecked on my scraper and found a small-print "Made in Sweden" on the handle that I had missed. The previous reply I sent was information from an internet search. At least, I can assure your questioner that the Bahco 625 I have is from Sweden. and I apologize for the misinformation.
Question: Does it includes one or four blades? The description says "Four interchangeable carbide blades". Are the additional blades included
Answer: The one I ordered included one triangle blade. I think there are four different shaped blades that will fit on that handle. They are expensive blades but they last much longer that the cheaper non-carbide blades-- just don't scrape over a nail with it, carbide is hard (that's why it says sharp), but brittle and will chip.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this function well as a bone saw for hunting
Answer: It cuts wood real well. But, the teeth are not really designed for cutting bone. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to cut through the joints of a leg bone, for example. But, I wouldn't try to cut across the bone itself. My bone saws have a totally different tooth design. I hope this helps.
Question: Why does that knife look exactly like a mora handle? is mora and bahco in cahoots with each other
Answer: Mora is the name of a company and it is knife style.
Question: Where is it made? I do not buy anything from China
Answer: Thank you! I am also never buying China stuff. This is EU made.
Question: Will the spine of the knife strike a ferro rod well
Answer: The knife is not carbon steel and the spine is not a true edge , Not good for striking a ferrel rod

Question: where is this made
Answer: Bacho has manufacturing facilities across Europe.
Question: Is bahco 143 same as pwz
Answer: I was able to do a side by side comparison with one of the fabricators in our shop. The ONLY difference was the PWZ3 had a slightly more course thread for the adjustment nut. Everything else was 100 percent identical. Well the SnapOn also has a rubberized coating on the grip area where the Bacho does not. I’m extremely happy with the one pair of these I bought and will be purchasing more.
Question: Bought 3 of these just broke one is there a warranty
Answer: No clue never broke up one

Bahco's Scientific 11-Step Ergonomic Design Program

Its purpose is to provide the foundation for ergonomic product development. It consists of pre-studies for each product idea, with emphasis on the ergonomic survey - a series of interviews to obtain insights into the tasks performed with the tool, looking at how it is handled, who uses it, and in what kind of environment.

Second phase of the process is experiment.

It starts with a prototype design that is then tested by users and those test results analyzed. This leads to a new series of prototypes that are put through user tests and analysis again. The number of design and test rounds varies, depending on a number of factors.

Last phase of the process is define.

At the end of this phase, conclusions are made and a successful product prototype can move to the last phase, themed as define. At this point the final design proposal is made based on all the studies and tests made in previous two phases, and the product specifications and other necessary documents are prepared for the product to be ready for introduction.

Each ergonomic Bahco tool is developed by following the Bahco Ergo Process thoroughly. Bahco's design manager certifies that the process has been correctly followed and that the research for the tool has been performed accordingly. An Ergo diploma is issued for all approved tools, and they are marked with the Ergo logo.
