Answer:	The 402K - specifically, "K" model, comes w/plastic case. It, the plastic case, is a $15 add-on to the base 402 model (sold here for $74).If that's what *YOU* ordered, that's what you should have.

Answer:	there are many types of wheels avail. depending on what your grinding, ( steel, alum, ceramic, concrete ect). this grinder accepts a wheel with a 5/8 hole. the point is don't buy a wheel rated for less than 11000 rpm. they will come apart and injure someone.

Answer:	**YES** Definitely for the DWE402 Type 2 model. How do I know? I have one in my grubby paws, even as fingers are put to keyboard. Type 2 is the variant w/ the black paddle switch in the approx. bottom middle of the tool housing. The paddle itself does not lock, having a rotating lock-out device to prevent accidental "ON" operation. To lock tool in the *ON* position, start the tool, depressing the paddle switch. Once up to speed, a small, black "lock" button positioned near the motor vents (can't recall whether right or left side of housing) can be depressed, locking the paddle switch in a position to maintain just slightly less than full 11K rpm motor speed. A Type 1 variant, w/ slide switch, has a similar "lock" feature. Reference to Type 1 and Type 2 is NOT to guard types, rather to the tool itself, designating variants in the DWE402 model. As to guards, looking high and low for a Type 1 guard. The tool came w/ Type 27 guard. Type 1 guard is *required* when using a cutting disc, rather than grinding disc. Part number for the needed guard is #N311419, either out-of-stock or back-ordered in DeWalt Service/Parts stores. Any one know where to lay grubby paws on this guard?

Answer:	No , these are for tools with 6mm or 1/4" chucks. The dremel 8200 has a 3mm or 1/8" chuck.

Answer:	Yes. Use a type 27 wheel as indicated in the manual. I used that to cut through a kryptonite style bike lock, took about 2 minutes per cut. Apply minimum pressure, don't force the wheel into what is being cut.

Almost every 4 1/2" angle grinders in the US have a 5/8" spindle diameter size. However, on 4 1/2" abrasive discs, the actual diameter of the arbor hole is 7/8". The 2/8" size difference is because of the locking and securing mechanism of both the "Inner Flange" and the "Lock Nut" of the 4 1/2" angle grinder. The Inner Flange and the Lock Nut maintain the stability and safety of the abrasive disc during operation. In other words, your Makita 4 1/2" X 3/64" X 7/8" abrasive disc will properly fit and work on your 4 1/2" X 5/8"-11 angle grinder. Lastly, as a side note, the "-11" refers only to the "Thread Count". "-11" is 11 threads per inch and is standard in the US.

Answer:	No, they are flat. These are cutoff wheels, the bell shape is a type 45 for grinding on the face. These wheels are intended for cut off only, from the edge, no face grinding

Answer:	If you remove the guard it will fit but is a little dangerous. I use them on Makita 4 1/2 18 volt cordless grinders a lot
Question:	Does the on/off switch lock in the ON position
Answer:	Excellent question. Mount the inner flange onto the spindle. Fit the Makita 4" cutting wheel on the inner flange for a secure and "snug fit". Screw the lock nut onto the spindle until it reaches the Makita 4" cutting wheel and is screwed on firmly. Proceed to tighten the lock nut by pressing the shaft lock firmly so that the spindle cannot revolve, and use the lock nut wrench to securely tighten clockwise. After completing these steps correctly, your Makita 4" cutting wheel should be secure and without any wobbling or loose movement. Lastly, before you cut any metal, plug in your 4" angle grinder and start your grinder. If all is working well, your Makita 4" cutting wheel should rotate fast, smooth, and without any sort of wobbling motion. Note: To remove the wheel, follow the installation procedure in reverse.

Answer:	The tool only has the limitation of what will fit between the two rollers and have the right amount of contact to sand the surface and whether the grit of sandpaper you want is available...other than that, it could be used to sand just about anything.

Answer:	The one I received was 110 volts, I live in Texas. I think if you live overseas where 220 volts is used they ship with 220 volts.

Answer:	Sorta. It will, but it is not a particularly positive lock. In some cases, I prefer a "dead-Man" switch, but this tool requires both hands to operate and having to hold the switch in position adds another stress.
