User questions & answers

Question: The picture, top description, and picture at DeWalt's site say 20mm arbor, but the other description here says 10mm. Which is it
Answer: The arbor is 20mm for the DW9052.
Question: Product description says 10mm arbor. Is this correct
Answer: Yes correct
Question: Does this blade fit on the 20v volt metal cutting saw dcs373b
Answer: I think so
Question: How would this blade work for demo? Commercial metal studs and sheetrock (occasional nail and screw
Answer: Read the label
Question: Cuantas hojas en la compra o solo es una
Answer: The package contains one blade
Question: Will this fit a Milwaukee m18 circular saw
Answer: Should if it has the same hole size and if the Milwaukee handles a 6 1/2" blade.
Question: will this blade cut thin sheet meatal roofing (pole barn siding
Answer: It will but you will get a better cut with a blade that has more teeth per inch
Question: Can thia be used to cut Aluminum sheet about
Answer: Yes. Many kinds of blades can cut AL.
Question: can this be put on circular saw
Answer: Yes, the DW3511 will work on a metal cutting circular saw.
Question: How deep will this saw blade cut
Answer: I would say about 2.5 inches max, but it really depends on the saw you are using it in. There should be a depth adjustment on it somewhere. And also your saw would need to be powerful enough to cut that much material at one time.
Question: Would this work well for cutting hardware cloth? I fear the toothed blades would catch and tear on the wires
Answer: The blade is not toothed. It works something like a thin grinding wheel, cutting through the metal by abrasion rather than by ripping. It might be overkill for hardware cloth, however. It's really designed for mild steel plate, pipe, angles, channels and so forth. A large pair of pattern tin snips (not the aviation kind with angled blades) will cut through hardware cloth very easily (but there are those sharp points of wire along the cut to deal with). Here's one example, and there are others: http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-MaxSteel-14-556-10-Inch-Straight/dp/B00009OYFV/ref=sr_1_22?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1459453146&sr=1-22&keywords=tin+snips.But if you go with this blade I would proceed cautiously until you are confident. The power of the saw itself may cause the blade to yank or entangle the hardware cloth in unpredictable ways -- somewhat in the way you are concerned about. I would make sure the cloth is well clamped or tacked down -- ideally on both sides of the cut -- before trying this blade and finding out just how "violent" the situation may be.
Question: Will this cut an old hot water heater tank in half? Need to make some feed troughs
Answer: From my experience, I believe that the blade that cuts metal will not handle the thick gauge steel of a hot water tank. You need to use a 7 1/4 inch circular metal cutting blade.
Question: Will this work on a7 inch grinder
Answer: Yes, this will work on a 7" grinder with 5/8" arbor max rpm 8,700.
Question: does this work ONLY on worm-drive saws , or they work with side-winders too
Answer: No, sidewinders are OK. The diamond knockout is employed when a high torque saw which uses that for a drive requires it. Otherwise, the common 5/8 arbor is used as is.
Question: Is this blade appropriate for cutting "roofing metal", commonly called "Galvalume
Answer: I'm going to say no, because galvalume is just an aluminum-zinc coated steel. I purchased this for chopping 2x4's and trim ripped out of my condo, to bag up and dispose of. There may have been a trim nail or two, but wore out TERRIBLY quick, and I had to buy a lot sturdier, more expensive blade for the work.
Question: Could I cut 20 guage sheet metal with this? I need to make some long cuts for a truck box I'm building. I need something faster than a jigsaw
Answer: This blade is intended for cutting only soft, non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum) - it is not suitable for ferrous metals, such as steel. If your truck box is aluminum, it should cut OK, although I have not tried it on sheet metal. I bought it to cut up some 1/8" x 1" aluminum bar stock & it does this well.
Question: Does it fit on a Makita 7-1/4 circular saw
Answer: The blade has a 5/8 inch arbor with a diamond knockout. I think that is the industry standard for all circular saws. I used it on a Black & Decker. It is made for industry standard 7 1/4 circular saws. You can measure one of your existing blades if you like but, personally, would not go through the trouble. Assuming your Makita is an industry standard circular saw then yes it will fit. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how easily it cuts.
Question: Is this a carbide tipped blade
Answer: No, this is not a carbide tipped blade.

User questions & answers

Question: este disco se puede usar en una maquina D
Answer: No, esto no sería compatible.
Question: What is the maximum thickness of iron rod this will cut? i need to cut 1" square rod
Answer: It will cut 1 inch square solid Rod no problem. The secret to success with this blade is to feed it very very gently especially at the start of the cut. Then gentle pressure and it will cut the metal perfectly.
Question: Can i use this on a dewalt chop saw that comes with a fiber disk ???? size and rpms match
Answer: No, this would not be compatible; Use only TYPE 1 cutting wheels with Chop Saw: https://www.dewalt.com/products/accessories/abrasives/bonded-abrasives?Facet2=Diameter%253b%253b14-s-in%253b%253b14%7C&pageNum=1
Question: This blade says to use it no faster than 1800 RPM, my Porter Cable saw is 3800 RPM. So does everybody ignore that detail
Answer: NO! Do not ignore that detail! If blade lifespan is important to you then use the 1300 RPM saw that it is designed for. They will last many months and I make thousands of cuts into multiple pieces at a time. If you use the ordinary chop saws intended for high RPM abrasive discs you can count the number of days it will last on your fingers...kind of a shame when they are $125 each and a disc is $10.
