Answer:	There are several versions of the "2X". Shark doesn't want you to know. They all look alike and the printing on the box is the same. But only the model IF 200w or the IF 252 has the double charging dock. The version sold by Amazon (IF 251) comes with two batteries but only one charging slot. (You can never charge two batteries at once.) Misleading!!!!! You cannot buy the double charger separately.

Answer:	It doesn’t last long max I ever got was 20 min . Now six month later i only get 7 min. It is also a hassle to get your batteries exchanged!

Answer:	The main difference is the number of batteries included. This model, IF201, includes only ONE battery and a charger. The more expensive model, IF251, includes TWO batteries, charger, and a charging dock for the batteries. A minor difference between the two models is what accessories are included, which can also vary at different retailers (Amazon, Target, QVC, etc). You can check the details of each listing to find out what specific accessory tools are included here at Amazon. If you have a larger house or spend more than about 15-20 minutes vacuuming at one time, you will want IF251 with two batteries. I went with the single battery IF201 as my house is rather small. Another option is to start with IF201 and then at a later date purchase a second battery if the need arises &/or budget allows.

Answer:	I've had this vacuum for years and I'm shocked to hear others say it does great with pet hair. That has not been my experience with it at all. I have all hardwood floors and big area rugs in each room. It hasn't picked up pet hair, string, lint, etc... from day one. Maybe if you have regular carpet, but for my area rugs, I'm extremely unhappy with this vacuum. Worst vacuum I've ever had. I haven't used it much because of it's lack of performance. My mom said her Dyson (different model) was same way until she found and washed the filter. I just washed mine and will let it dry 24hrs and try again. I don't have high expectations, because that wouldn't have been the case right out of the box. I will reply to this with my findings. I hope it proves me wrong.

Answer:	I am not sure but it is geared to work with 110, I think if you plugged it into a 220 it may break the vacuum. I wouldnt try it. But, I think you'd have to contact DYSON to be sure. It is an awesome vacuum. The best I have ever had.

While the photo and description does not provide you a good idea of attachments, or suction options it comes with 2 attachments which work really well for removing dog hair from couches, and there are 2 buttons on the top of the vacuum. One is a power/on/off button and the second is button which controls whether or not the brush is rotating. (that role or round bar every vacuum has which spins around really fast to stimulate carpet fibers and pick up dirt) I have 3 pugs and this vacuum is awesome on hardwood.. This is the only vacuum I have owned which was truly designed to work on carpet and hard surfaces as you can switch the rotating brush off to vacuum hard surfaces. Vacuums I have had in the past have just blown pet hair around on hard surfaces because there was no option to turn off the rotating brush which would just stimulate the hair to move away from the vacuum rather than towards it. Question:	Where is the filter? i hope i do not have to buy this for a new machine just received
Answer:	When you tap the button to empty the vacuum you will see an area with an indentation that tells you to "slide to access filter". You slide it forward and lift it out. At the opposite end of the mesh screen, you will see an orange ring (the filter) with a wire handle. It pulls right out. The filter is paper so we vacuum it off with another hand held vacuum. You could probably wipe it down or gently brush it with a soft brush. Would not get it wet! Your vacuum comes with the filter. Do not know if it would be available from Shark separately or not so would use caution when cleaning.

Answer:	There is a switch, but this is misleading because the only difference btwn the hardwood and carpet setting is how fast the beater bar spins. SHark does not fully, accurately describe this in their product description but the beater bar cannot be turned off or raised to keep it from scratching hardwoods. Very frustrating, actually.

The pre-motor filters include a foam filter and a felt filter. The filters for this vacuum are washable by rinsing them under warm tap water until the water runs clear. We suggest to let the air dry for at least 24 hours before putting them back in the vacuum. Question:	This model gets good reviews for keeping pet hair out of the beater brush. How about long human hair
Answer:	Yes, Yes, Yes. Long haired wife, long haired dog, long haired cat. Vacuumed a rug that had more hair than fiber. Brush was clean as a whistle. I was hoping new hair-clipping rotor would work half-way, it worked the whole way. My old Shark roller would have been a solid hairball after the two rugs i vacuumed the other day. The new guy was clean... and so were the rugs.

Question:	Last question regarding the hv382 and hv381---they seem to be the same with same accessories, but why the price difference if so
Answer:	The pet tool is different between the 2 models. hv382 has a motorized pet tool vs the suction driven one on hv381
Question:	What is the biggest difference between this and the lift away? Is it just preference
Answer:	The Liftaway is a traditional upright vacuum. It is heavy (mine is ~15 lb), and has a very powerful beater bar for cleaning carpets. Combined, the weight of the vacuum and the power of the Liftaway beater bar leaves my carpets cleaner than any other vacuum I have tried! Different parts can be disconnected so that you can do stairs, upholstery, etc.The Rocket is a relatively lightweight (it is 10 lbs) stick vacuum. If you have hardwood/tile floors, this may be the only vacuum you need. However, it is weak on carpet - it simply doesn't have the weight or the power to dig in and give carpets a deep clean. Note that with the Rocket, all the weight is at the top of the stick, so you are carrying the weight (which gets tiring). With the Navigator, the weight is low, pushing down into the carpet.
Question:	What accessories come with thisHV
Answer:	I just picked this up from bed bath and beyond... lo and behold the box says what accessories they have. There were two different boxes with the same UPC and exact same box, except the list of accessories on top of the box were different. I'm assuming from the comments the newer ones have excluded the motorized pet brush, under appliance wand and others. Luckily I knew what to look for and brought home the one with all the included accessories that the shark website listed. This was the same at Kohls too. They had both limited accessory and full accessory hv382 next to each other for the same price, same UPC barcode. I got mine today at bband beyond for $199 -20% off email coupon. $159 +tax. I am ordering a flexible hose from the shark website for $16 plus shipping. I don't know if it's true but apparently 380 model accessories are incompatible w lower model accessories (300, 310, 320) There's no way of choosing which one you get if you order it online
Question:	I'm tempted to buy the hv382... i hover lots of hardwood and i'm worried about the beater bar (brush) scratching and dulling my floors
Answer:	The Quick Start manual for the HV382 says: "The Rocket® Complete has a 2-speed power slider switch on the handle. Slide the power switch to the appropriate floor setting and start cleaning. Setting I: Gentle on bare floors and delicate area rugs. The brushroll and the soft roller both spin together slowly to clean bare floors and delicate area rugs. The soft roller traps fine dust and large particles, while the brushroll directs that debris to the suction channel. Setting II: Deep cleans carpets by removing embedded dirt. Both brushrolls spin faster, working together to pick up debris below the surface of your carpets." Thus, the brushroll spins on BOTH settings -- just slower on the hard floor setting. This has the potential of damaging hardwood and vinyl floors.
