Question:	How does this compare to the xiaomi roborock s50? is it the same
Answer:	I emailed Robotrock about this and they said "There are 3 products in S5 series. Ant the only difference among them is about the devices' color. S50 is a white one.". So they're all "S5". But the S5 white one is also called the S50.
Question:	Does it recognize carpets so that it does not mop on the carpet? If not, can you set up zones where you have carpets so that it doesn't mop them
Answer:	Pls kindly be advised that it's recoginize carpets, but it can not stop mop on the carpet as the water tank installed by manual, if you don't want your carpet be mopped, you can set up zones where you have carpets, or we suggest to use the magnetic strips to insulate your carpets accurately to avoid mopping, thank you.
Question:	Are there any plans to implement mapping for multiple floors? It seems many of us move this device to different areas of our homes
Answer:	Just purchased the S5 and am learning the limitation of only being able to have 1 saved (1 level) map on this vacuum in the Mi Home App. As a work around it would be nice to be able to at least set up the S5 to multiple homes allowing at least one map per home. Is it a memory/chip issue in the vacuum itself that is limiting the storage? How about just an option to free clean without map saving so you could clean an area outside the 1 saved map such as a lower level. Pretty limiting for such a nice vacuum. I just want to clean a lower level separate than my main saved map with my no go zones. I don't care if it saves or not for the lower level room, just want to spot clean without it still thinking its in a saved map.
Question:	How well does the mopping function work
Answer:	I would say the mop pad is a nice accessory. The mop pad has its place but it won't replace a good hands an knees floor scrubbing. To be honest the roborock s50 is primarily designed as a vaccume and does very well as a vaccume, the "mop" is nothing more advanced than a well mounted bathroom wash cloth that self dampens from the water tank. I tried it on my tile floor which is continuous (kitchen, hall, dining room, mud room) and it performed about as well as I expected. Picture taking a damp cloth to the floor and just making a single wipe by hand and thats what it does. Would I say it's a replacement for a through scrubbing of my tile floors, no it's not. However the mop would fill the roll of maintenance surface cleaning between major scrubbings. Face it if you looking at this product you probably don't get excited by the idea of sweeping, vaccumeing, or mopping ( just like me). You could waste an hour of your day vaccumeing and sweeping or you could spend the same hour sitting on the couch while it cleans for you. I would imagine that it's mop pad works better on a well sealed hardwood floor as a dust mop, I don't have hard wood floors so I can't really comment. Over all the mop is an accessory that makes the roborock s50 a more versital tool, but mop pad won't get you to throw out your mops and scrub brushes for the big deep mopping. I hope this doesn't turn you off to the idea of a roborock s50 vaccume. I have owned my unit for 2weeks now and can attest that its primary design was as a vaccume/sweeper, which it does a very good job of picking up lint, dust, cat hair, cotton wood tree fuzzys, sand and such. Answer:	It will vacuum carpet, but only with the carpet attachment

Answer:	It just depends on how high they are. For those that are too high, I simply pick her up, place her in the room and close the door. When she is finished, I place her in the next room with the same process.

Answer:	Yes, but only when using the vacuum attachment. Not with the mop attachment

Question:	can I use this item in carpets
Answer:	This model is more suitable to clean the floor, it may be not very well when in carpet, because this model don't have a roller brush. If you want to use it in carpet, please refer to our A series products, which have a roller brush such as A9, A6, A4s, A7, A8.
Question:	Does it mop and vacuum at the same time
Answer:	You can use the robot to sweep the floor and then drag it, they can't be done at the same time.
Question:	What is the db rating of this unit
Answer:	My understanding it is 60. I have it set up to vacuum at 0400 and I sleep through it until my wake up time at 0500. It is doing its thing.
Question:	do the mop pads just last for one cleaning
Answer:	Just wash them and they're ready to go again. Be sure to at least rinse them out immediately for best cleaning.

Question:	Can i use this without wifi? i’ve been trying to connect for 2 hours and it still won’t connect
Answer:	Without WiFi it still runs but you can’t control it via the app so it’s recommend you do connect it to WiFi. If your struggling to connect it, you can search up YouTube tutorials.

Answer:	Do not have a drop off.

Answer:	They are pretty durable providing you clean the floor to be used properly prior to being installed

Alexa & Google Home
