Answer:	I believe it will work but I think it's only rated for 180 degrees F. And typically hot house water is only run for a few minutes at a time at that temp. If you are using for an engine application you could have consistent temps of 180 -220 F. It will probably work but I would plumb in a bypass in case it fails. You are probably better off with a stainless steel filter for that but you could try it.
