Question:	Is the lid on this trash can removable
Answer:	No, the lid connects to the container in the back. The lid is assembled by Rubbermaid. It would be removable if you disassembled it, but that would take a while.

Answer:	Agree, as long as the top is closed and wind doesn't blow it open (which has never happened to us), the container is weatherproof. It's very similar to the big trash cans provided by refuse services.

Answer:	It is removable. It has two screws on either side of the lid. I don't think it can just pop off and though. The lid does flip all the way back to hang upside down and flush with the back of the container.

Answer:	Well i can not say for sure if this trash can is rat proof or not. I will say that this can is great and very heavy duty, as our trash guys are everything bit gentle. I suppose if you put something heavy on top of the attached lid to hold it down it would be very hard for something like a rat to get in the can. I bought two of these cans they work grwat for all my needs. I hope this answer finds tou and helps with tour needs.

Answer:	I use tall kitchen trash bags, the same I used with my other trash bins. You don't need specially sized bags for this beauty :)

Answer:	We use the traditional 13 gallon draw string and they stay up fine. Keeping them out of view took a moment, but I just tie a knot at the rim. There is a groove down the center of the side of the inserted bin and I align the knot with the groove so the container slides in and bag is invisible. I did however remove the little handle (just put it in the bottom under the bin if I should need it) because when removing the bin with bag that handle would get hung up. When these bags are gone, I'm going to buy the black stretchy/fitted bags and see if that eliminates the need to tie a knot.

Question:	Could the Lid be locked using a padlock
Answer:	There is no place to lock the lid. The lid is solid and hinged well. Wind or animals will not get it open. If you were very aggressive, you could drill a hole through the lid and lip and use a lock through those, but I don't think locking is in its design.

Answer:	This is the most solid trash container I have ever seen. As for animals, it depends on the animal. It will keep dogs and cats out. For raccoons, a simple bungee cord will keep the lid shut. I run a bungee from the hinge area at the back of the lid, over the front to the metal handle in the front. For black bear, you will still need a steel bear-proof container. That being said, you will not find a better, more sturdy and well-built trash container anywhere. These things are built like a tank and will last forever.

Answer:	It says it fits 20 to 55 gallon trash cans. My cans 45 gallons and that will not go under a table. The dolly itself is about 7 inches high. They make 20 gallon cans for this dolly. You will need to measure how high your table is, and then add how high the trashcan is +7 inches. If the trashcan +7 inches is less than the table height, then you should be good to go.

Answer:	About 2inches below my kitchen counter. It fits perfectly in the kitchen. I love it.

Answer:	I just keep mine plugged in was tried of going through batteries. Dont waste your time just plug in.
Question:	Is the lid supposed to fit snugly? I have an opening in back
Answer:	I'm not very sure what you mean by an opening in the back of the trash can. My can lid fits very snug, and there isn't any opening except the location for ac plug and battery compartment. You should also male sure to habe take black fit ring that holds the bag in place. That goes on before the lid. That's the trim ring (actually fit ring) that's pictured to the left between the lid and trash can. I hope that I was able to provide you with some viable information. I've had my can for a couple of months now and I just love it!

Answer:	I have found that if I pack the trash down into the bag to get as much as I can into the bag before taking it out it will be harder to get out and will catch on the screws from the handles. What I did to prevent that is cover the screws with packing tape and it doesn't happen any longer. Or not stuff the bags so full. Hope this helps.
