Step 1

To get started, you will need the All Seasons Indoor Composting Kit. Place it under your sink, or a convenient location in your kitchen.

Step 2

Before you add food scraps, chop everything into small pieces. This allows for greater surface area for the microbes to feast on. You can add (small) bones, cheese, coffee grounds and meat as well as all fruits and vegetables. Add food scraps to the bucket, in layer (up to 3").

Step 3

Dust each layer with a generous handful of Bokashi. When putting in meat, bones, cheese, coffee grounds or other hard to compost materials, use more All Seasons Bokashi than

normal.

Step 4

Close lid tighly. Repeat steps 2 - 3 each time food scraps are added and All Seasons Indoor Composter is full.

Step 5

Drain the compost 'tea' every 2-3 days or as needed.Dilute the 'tea' (one Tbsp / gallon of water). Use immediately on indoor plants or outside in the garden.

Your Compost Bin is Full, Now What?

Dig-in Method. Transfer the material directly into your garden for complete break-down. Dig a trench or hole approximately 6"-12” deep. Mix the food scraps with soil as you add it to the trench. Cover the compost completely with soil to assure further decomposition and to prevent unwanted critters. Wait two weeks before planting to avoid root burn.

Container Planter Method. Transfer material directly into a planter or container. Fill 1/3 of container with potting soil. Add compost and lightly mix with soil. Finally, fill the remaining 1/3 of the container with potting soil. (Optional: cover with a plastic bag to maintain anaerobic conditions.) Wait two weeks before planting.

Outdoor Compost Bin. Add the food scraps from your All Seasons Indoor Composter directly into the compost pile in your backyard or community garden. Turn as normal and apply a heavy dose of All Seasons Bokashi, if needed.

Compost Pickup Program. Check for local organizations who offer compost pickup.

Answer:	I use a teflon sheet and no you don't have to press too hard. I used to use my iron and this thing is AAAAAmazing!!! Time and heat control... no more guessing or over heating.

Answer:	Your iron may be greatly superior to mine...But the advantages that this heat press has over my iron are these: 1) I'm able set the exact temperature I need. (I didn't realize what a difference this would make!) 2) The heat press is HEAVY. I want a lightweight iron for ironing clothes, but want pressure (which weight provides) for heat transfer designs. 3) This heat press has a timer. I've been amazed how much better my work turns out when I'm a little more careful about the timing. These are the three major advantages I've found in using a heat press over my iron. To be truthful, any heat press probably delivers these. But the smaller, more compact size (even with the largest, the 12 x 10--which I purchased), and hence, easier storage when not in use...is what tipped the scales for me when choosing the Cricut over the other brands of heat presses. Answer:	I have bought it in bulk and kept over a year and it still seems to work. Keep it dry.

Answer:	I have, I tried several times slightly tweaking the process in an attempt to be successful. It was challenging, stinky and I failed every time. I've no idea why! I'm thinking it would be far easier to use this as a starter and grow more by feeding this. That's my plan. I do the same with my EM. I purchased a bottle and then feed the microbes. It's expensive to keep purchasing! To answer your situation tho, Google bokashi recipe and follow the instructions precisely. Good luck! I hope you succeed! Failure is super smelly lol.

Answer:	Bokashi is a wonderful product. I use it in a kitchen waste composting bin. I have never used it in a composting worm bin. The Bokashi website has a lot of information regarding all sorts of composting techniques. Because worms love kitchen waste, I would imagine that Bokashi is safe for them. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Question:	How many batches does a 2.2 lb bag compost
Answer:	Thank you for your message. Using a healthy handful of bokashi for every layer of food scraps that you put into the bucket (up to 3"), a 1 gallon bag can be used to compost one to two buckets of food scraps. The amount of bokashi required varies from person to person and bucket to bucket due to the moisture content of your food scraps, ambient temperature and humidity, and food type. Remember if you are composting meat, bones or dairy extra bokashi may be necessary; better too much than too little to ensure complete fermentation and good smelling compost. It may take a little experimentation to find the perfect amount of bokashi to use with your kitchen composter. If your bucket starts to putrify (smell bad) or grow green mold (white mold is beneficial), then it’s time to toss that bucket out and use more bokashi in the next one. Answer:	I would not recommend dishwasher as the container has 2 layers. Dish soap and water. Very easy cleanup.

Answer:	I have never done that so I am unsure. It's pretty sturdy plastic so maybe it's possible.
Question:	What are the dimensions of both the smaller and larger buckets
Answer:	The large one is 9 3/4" wide, 7" deep, 8 3/4 tall, 16" with the lid open, this was important to me because my cabinets are 15 1/2 above the counter. So I must pull it in front of the cabinets to open all the way. It seems worth it because I had to empty the small one every day and the removable rim holds the bag in place. It does such a good job of holding the bad smells in that I don't mind letting it fill up for 2 or 3 days. The small one is 7" wide 7" deep7 1/2 if you count the tab in front, 7" tall, 14 1/2 with the lid open. They both taper so they are a little smaller at the bottom.

Answer:	It doesn’t appear to leak but it does rust over time. I line it with bags I put produce in from the grocery store or any plastic bag that comes into the house.

Answer:	The compost bin is for holding your compostables until you dump it into a composter (compost pile or outdoor composter), it is for holding compostsbles until composting but don't leave the compost goodies in bin too long or you will have mold, no need to add worms to a compost pile because the pile generates alot of heat when composting, add worms later when you use the composted material, otherwise the worms would probably cook
Question:	Will any of the generic round replace filter fit this can
Answer:	Yes, you can use any comparable charcoal filters you can find on Amazon as filter replacements. They can be cut to size as well if need be if you get one slightly larger for example. There are plenty of options on Amazon.
Question:	Why did domeone say the bags are not compostables when you clearly advertize that they are
Answer:	Hi R M Williams, They must have been confused over the color of our bags, which are black instead of the usual green color. Despite the color change they all work the same way. Answer:	The answer about using an inch of shreded paper sounds good. Fly problems can start easily if the veg/fruit waste is exposed. Most people don't use enough bedding. I have found that covering everything with a layer of compost works great and could have some food value for the worms. I have a longer review dated 1/1/2013 that has some more info.
Question:	The pic shows some other items besides the bin, what are they? Is it bedding? What do I need to prepare the bin
Answer:	Red Wigglers are called compost worms. They feed on scraps buried in soil. Scraps buried prevent things like fruit flys. They also re-produce faster than nightcrawlers. Night Crawlers are top feeders. I would stick to using Night Crawlers for fish bait.

Answer:	The VermiHut Plus version is a new model. It was designed to have many new features which helps to have successful worm composting. See the new features below. You don't need to use all the five trays at once. VermiHut Plus Major Improvements and New Features: 1. The shape is square but with large round corners. Therefore, it is more durable than the classic VermiHut; 2. The base is one piece including the liquid collection tray while the classic VermiHut base is composed of three pieces: a piece of pedestal base tray, a holding tray and a liquid collection tray. The VermiHut Plus does not require bolts/nuts assembling; 3. Answer:	Likely not. The hanging device will work as described only if there’s a flat surface behind it. That said, I guess you could use a carabiner to hang it off a grid wall. Hope this was helpful!
Question:	Could this trash bin be mounted to inside a cabinet door
Answer:	I just posted about this. The bin sits too high on the cabinet door hook so that my cabinet door won't close. If it was about 1/8-1/4" lower it would be fine. The wall mounting attachment could work, except that it fits very, very snuggly so I can't easily remove the bin from the wall mount. I need to be able to easily remove the bin so I can dump the contents into my curbside yard bin for my hauler.
