Question:	Could you set this up as 2 shorter shelfs side by side
Answer:	You would need to check your rack to see in the poles unscrew in the middle. I get the impression there were different versions of these racks. If they do you need a set of 4 caps, 4 threaded inserts and 4 casters or levelers. Check your pole size too, likely either 1” or 3/4” depending on the version.

Answer:	super simple assembly. take 2 peices of the black thingies. they should have a mark saying top or a dot or something. they are conical so you snap them together on the legs. start on the near bottom of a leg on a ring and slide the cap till it snaps in place. do all 4 on the same ring, 1 level at a time.so caps, snap, shelf. the 1st shelf is the trickiest but once the second shelf is in place it has better stability. if this is not helping, try youtube.
Question:	I'm very frustrated. the plastic shelf holders are not snapping and staying closed what am i doing wrong
Answer:	I've purchased several of these and just have one more thing to add from the other comments. First, from the other comments you can gather that the pieces do not snap together with each other - they snap to the vertical poles. That's an important point left out of the instructions. Second, where most are saying hold them together and slide them down the vertical pole until they snap, you can do that but they most likely will snap in the same location, giving you same size shelves. The shelves are adjustable, so if you want different heights for each shelf, find the groove on the pole that is closest to giving you the shelf size you want. Then you can, making sure the arrow of the 2 interlocking pieces point up, just lay both pieces close to the groove and then you can slide them up or down to find the closest place to that spot where they will snap. One more thing is you need to make sure you put the shelf over the 4 poles as level as you can. Even though the pieces snap onto the pole, they can be knocked off if the shelf hits them too hard on one side or the other if you try to place it on askew. Doesn't have to be perfectly level - I did it by myself - but somewhat hitting all 4 clips at the same time and coming down over them as close to the same time as you can. The lip of the shelf has to be down in order for the shelf to slide over top of the interlocking pieces on each pole - that's what holds them together. Will not work with the lip up. I am a 60ish female with no real mechanical abilities so the first one was the hardest because the instructions left out key points. Hope this helps (I have put together about 5 or 6 of them now in my garage).

Question:	Is it hard to put together or take apart
Answer:	Very easy to do both. All you need to take it apart would be to pull off the shelves one by one. I would suggest upside down after removing the top shelf. Then hit lightly with a hammer or mallet from below each shelf to loosen it from the plastic two parts that hold each side of the shelves. Once they are loose they will come apart. When putting it together, the number one thing is to pay attention to the plastic parts because they all say, this side up. You put the side down, you will never get it together. FYI when you unpack the parts a bunch of round black plastic pieces (that look like junk) will fall of, those are ONLY for protecting the posts when shipping so when putting together make sure they are not inside the posts or you will not be able to put it together. The actual parts come in a large bag full of smaller bags, each one is for putting together one shelf. The instructions mention it, but some people are commenting that they are broken pieces because they can't read. lol I'm 70 and I have put together 9, my most recent today. I'm sure you can also. They are sturdy and my older ones have been in use for a decade.

Question:	Is it possible to turn the shelves around so that the edges of the shelves have a lip
Answer:	People are saying yes, but it is designed for the shelves to have a "top" and a "bottom" so no, you cannot turn the shelves upside down. The weight of the shelve pushes down on the taper, creating a tighter "bind" with the leg. That's the design.
Question:	What is the diameter of the posts
Answer:	I don't know what diameter the other sizes are, but the 30" three tier shelf is only 3/4" diameter. I went off the previous answer when I bought three of these. Boy was I fooled when I received 3/4" poles. Smh!

Answer:	I would place lower shelf all the way to the bottom and set trash can on it then place other shelves where you want. This would keep shelving unit stable. If you need to leave one shelf off keep it and the plastic brackets in case you want to add later.

Answer:	Yes, and you can buy a bag of sleeves here for pennies. I have about 10 sets of shelves that I’ve bought here, Walmart, Aldis. The legs are all the same diameter so I’ve been able to interchange shelves to get what I want. The only issue I’ve had is the size of the shelves. Like others have said, check your measurements. If you use the shelf liners do some comparison shopping. Wide difference in price for same thing. I also found a heavy plastic shelf liner roll I can cut to fit. It has tiny parallel ridges that require cleaning with with a nap- like terry- but glasses sitting upside down can breathe so no “bad breath”. Items can be put away still damp as the ridges allow air to move. Love these wire shelves.

Answer:	Only a small microwave. Unit isn't really sturdy enough for larger appliances.

Answer:	The poles we received with the three shelf unit were only 0.75 inches in diameter. The industrial size poles are usually a 1 inch diameter, and are not compatible with the parts we received in this unit.

Answer:	Yes, but when they say 15 pounds per cube they mean it. I weighed my books to be sure I only had 15 pounds, and a little bump knocked the shelf loose. I had to take out all the books and snap it together again. This is cheap and pretty, but not heavy duty.

Answer:	I am using mine outside as part of a gardening work area. The black coated ones do not trust and hold heavy ceramic pots full of dirt. If you are not securing to a wall, put heaviest stuff on the bottom to avoid tip over.

Answer:	The shelves themselves no depends on what you put on them. My husband used screws for ours we had 2 mini ceramic Christmas Trees and 1 mini real tree. If you use Command strips I would use strong ones and maybe 3 or 4. Hope this helps.

Question:	Are the shelf heights adjustable
Answer:	No. The posts, when installed between shelves, are 16” long and can’t be adjusted. Note that I received shelving and parts with instructions for Sandusky Cabinets brand. The product description online on Amazon says the posts are 18” high, which may be true, since some of it on each end is inserted into the hole in the shelf.
Question:	I want to put this in a small closet that is 38x22. Shelves are 36x18. Would assembly inside the closet be possible
Answer:	In my opinion, No. You’d probably be fine with the bottom 3 shelves but definitely not the top 2.
Question:	Will it assemble properly without adding the top shelf? Limited to 60" H

Question:	Could you set this up as 2 shorter shelfs side by side
Answer:	You would need to check your rack to see in the poles unscrew in the middle. I get the impression there were different versions of these racks. If they do you need a set of 4 caps, 4 threaded inserts and 4 casters or levelers. Check your pole size too, likely either 1” or 3/4” depending on the version.
Question:	Can you order more shelves? I don't want to buy another unit, I just need more shelves to space them closer

Question:	where can i download the assembly instructions
Answer:	super simple assembly. take 2 peices of the black thingies. they should have a mark saying top or a dot or something. they are conical so you snap them together on the legs. start on the near bottom of a leg on a ring and slide the cap till it snaps in place. do all 4 on the same ring, 1 level at a time.so caps, snap, shelf. the 1st shelf is the trickiest but once the second shelf is in place it has better stability. if this is not helping, try youtube.
Question:	I'm very frustrated. the plastic shelf holders are not snapping and staying closed what am i doing wrong
Answer:	I've purchased several of these and just have one more thing to add from the other comments. First, from the other comments you can gather that the pieces do not snap together with each other - they snap to the vertical poles. That's an important point left out of the instructions. Second, where most are saying hold them together and slide them down the vertical pole until they snap, you can do that but they most likely will snap in the same location, giving you same size shelves. The shelves are adjustable, so if you want different heights for each shelf, find the groove on the pole that is closest to giving you the shelf size you want. Then you can, making sure the arrow of the 2 interlocking pieces point up, just lay both pieces close to the groove and then you can slide them up or down to find the closest place to that spot where they will snap. One more thing is you need to make sure you put the shelf over the 4 poles as level as you can. Even though the pieces snap onto the pole, they can be knocked off if the shelf hits them too hard on one side or the other if you try to place it on askew. Doesn't have to be perfectly level - I did it by myself - but somewhat hitting all 4 clips at the same time and coming down over them as close to the same time as you can. The lip of the shelf has to be down in order for the shelf to slide over top of the interlocking pieces on each pole - that's what holds them together. Will not work with the lip up. I am a 60ish female with no real mechanical abilities so the first one was the hardest because the instructions left out key points. Hope this helps (I have put together about 5 or 6 of them now in my garage).
