Answer:	The angle between the bike and the wall with these is WAY LESS than 45 degrees (the angle other replies have indicated). Without measuring, I would have guessed 30 degrees (as and architect, I'm pretty good at estimating angles). But: the company "dahanger" (which may have originated this type of hanger) has two models... one is 20 degrees and the other 25 degrees. As that company says, it's easier to fit three bikes using the 25 degree hangers, so I'd guess these are about 25 degrees.

Question:	Can the bottom shelf be removed or is it necessary for support
Answer:	Pretty simple. Drill a few holes, install a couple drywall anchors into the drilled holes, then mount the wheel pedestals and pedal hook with the provided screws. Use a level and pre-mark the holes to make sure the installation of each wheel pedestal is even and that the pedal hook is attached appropriately to hold the bike at the desired angle. Took me maybe 30 mins to do two sets. Be mindful of wall stud locations. Would be helpful to have a second person hold bike in the appropriate position after the wheel pedestals are installed when marking the desired position of the pedal hook.

Answer:	Not really sure. I think if the wall started shaking the bike could sway and roll, the holder could possibly lose its connection with the bike. Maybe if the holder had a spring or more tension of holding on to the pedal it would be more secure and or something simple to keep the wheels in place would prevent possible movement in an earthquake situation. I don’t experience earthquakes and love the look...

Answer:	I actually called requesting more shelves and was told they do NOT offer separate shelving and was told to go to Home Depot and get shelves cut to size.

Answer:	It could have issues, the support posts have a small round contact point at the bottom about 1/2 inch in diameter or so. it also comes with two straps to attach the top to your wall to prevent any stability issues. if you plan to put it against a wall you may be ok but free standing might be risky, placing your heaver items at the bottom and lighter towards the top might also help. I would place it so you can use the straps

Question:	Does this come with hardware to secure to a wall
Answer:	No. It does not come with the hardware. We did have ours secured to the wall by a handyman, though. It's a good idea.
Question:	Can shelves be flipped over, creating a lip that prevents things from sliding over the edge
Answer:	No way. The fluted side of the holes in the shelves must slide over the retaining clips to hold the shelf securely in place
Question:	How easy it to to take apart and put back together
Answer:	Depends on what you call 'easy'. The worst is getting the end cappies on and the pole bottoms, and that's not bad. Best when disassembling to put it on the side or back and whap the shelves 'up' going around the shelf, near the poles, to loosen them and get them to come off. Start from the formerly top shelf and work to the bottom, pull the poles out of the last shelf as they come loose. Assembling again lay one shelf on edge on long side, and thread all four poles through, setting the height where they should be, then lift the whole thing up and seat the bottom shelf, then work up. It will be sturdiest with the bottom shelf down about as far as it can go, and the top shelf about as high up as you can get it.
Question:	Can you stack this unit? I need more storage but only have room for the 24" wide

Answer:	The shelving is simple to assemble. I do not recall whether instructions came with the product or not, but I certainly remember not using them. Start from the bottom up. Take (4) uprights, make sure the narrow slots are down (round holes are up), put the feet on the bottom, then place your first shelf. Each shelf requires two long flats and two short flats, put rivets into holes, then use rubber mallet (or hammer with wood block) to force the rivets into the slots, thus locking them in place. Place the wire shelving into the grooves between the slats, and you have a shelf! Make sure you put two shelves into your bottom half before assembling the top half to avoid damage and for the sake of safety.There are (4) connectors. Hammer these into your bottom uprights, then hammer the top uprights into your connectors, then repeat with the shelves.By the way, the flats can be put in "lip up" or "lip down". Lip up if you want a 2 inch "kick plate" to keep things from, say rolling off the shelf. Lip down if you have boxes that you do not want to lift two inches to take them off the shelf. What is very cleaver is that you can have lip down in the front, but lip up on the sides and back, so that nothing drops off the back or sides .It is a very versatile system, and either than the occasional hammer, it's very simple to assemble. By the way, if something looks like it is aligned but does not seem to want to fit into place, hammer harder. This worked quite well with several of the flats and at least one of the top uprights... just make sure everything is aligned first. Good luck.

Question:	Can you remove a shelf? Would like to add trash can at the bottom
Answer:	I would place lower shelf all the way to the bottom and set trash can on it then place other shelves where you want. This would keep shelving unit stable. If you need to leave one shelf off keep it and the plastic brackets in case you want to add later.

Answer:	Yes, and you can buy a bag of sleeves here for pennies. I have about 10 sets of shelves that I’ve bought here, Walmart, Aldis. The legs are all the same diameter so I’ve been able to interchange shelves to get what I want. The only issue I’ve had is the size of the shelves. Like others have said, check your measurements. If you use the shelf liners do some comparison shopping. Wide difference in price for same thing. I also found a heavy plastic shelf liner roll I can cut to fit. It has tiny parallel ridges that require cleaning with with a nap- like terry- but glasses sitting upside down can breathe so no “bad breath”. Items can be put away still damp as the ridges allow air to move. Love these wire shelves.
Question:	can the 3shelf hold a microwave
Answer:	Only a small microwave. Unit isn't really sturdy enough for larger appliances.
Question:	Are these the industrial size poles that are 1" so I can use shelves I already own
Answer:	The poles we received with the three shelf unit were only 0.75 inches in diameter. The industrial size poles are usually a 1 inch diameter, and are not compatible with the parts we received in this unit.

Answer:	The trick is to start by making sure the rough places are smoothed out enough. Once I get the poles into the slots I take a small square of wood and place it over the top of the pole and use a hammer to hit the wood a few good whacks to settle the pole to the bottom of the hole. You have to get each pole all the way to the bottom of the hole so that the next shelf will be flat. I use the wood and hammer each time I put a shelf on or put a pole in.

Answer:	MDF which is a form of wood product, like saw dust, that is super strong. I got these shelves to store file boxes. I wanted a smooth shelf verses the wire shelf that some shelving units use. That way the boxes slide in and out without catching on the wire.
