Answer:	The first thing I noticed was the handles. They are wide and don't cut into your hands and they durable and not at all flimsy. I would definitely buy these again.

Answer:	Yes. They do what you ask. Remember, very heavy items (like a wet pillow or stuffed toy) will likely require that you fold the top edge of the fabric over the clothes line and then "pin" it in place (increases the holding strength).

Answer:	I'm not sure. These are almost exactly the same as clothes pins from walmart. The metal is stronger, but the wood is exactly the same. They would fit if the cheaper ones would.

Answer:	The pins are 2-7/8 inches long. They are strong for their size, fine for hanging clothes and dishtowels. If you are hanging sheets, they are all right, but it takes more of them than the old fashioned type, especially if there is a stiff breeze. They are iffy for hanging heavy thick towels and bath mats. I use more of them, especially if it is breezy. These pins are better than those I have purchased in the local stores, about the same size, but stronger. I still have never found the really old fashioned 3+ inch type that are strong as mouse traps. Sigh!
