Question:	The product dimensions are listed as: 1 inch by 4 inch by 6 3/4-inch. How wide is the part that fits over an inside door? 1 inch would be too narrow
Answer:	The model that I received was made of ~3 mm think plastic over a 1 3/8" (35 mm) thick door. It hangs about 4 1/2" down the door and is 7/8" wide. The front side of the door will show about 1 3/8" of the hanger. The first hook down is ~1 1/2" down, ~1 1/2" deep and a ~5/8" lip. The Second hanger is ~4 1/5" down, 5/8" deep with a 5/8" lip.
Question:	How deep is the part that fits over the door--in other words how thick of a door does it fit
Answer:	The inside measurement of the part that fits over the door is 1 and 3/8". It is made of pretty hard plastic and don't think you could "stretch" beyond that- the stress I think would cause it to break. The plastic is pretty thick I will say,and so you should have some space at the top so that it doesn't interfere with closing. It is well made as far as plastic goes. I bought for daughter college dorm but door was too thick and could not use.

Answer:	Yes it will. It will leave a gap of approximately 3/8" as it does on my door, but it will still work and look fine.

Question:	What is the actual length of this towel rack? Two different length measurements are listed in the product description
Answer:	I'm not at home but like a foot. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I use it as a coat rack.
Question:	Would it work to screw this rack directly into a standard bedroom door
Answer:	For my drywall installation, I used screws where a plastic expander is inserted first into the hole and then the screw is inserted through the fixture into the expander. . A bedroom door would be trickier, dependent on if it is hollow and what material it is made out of. I would not trust screws alone. If the door is hollow, toggle bolts with "wings" should be used that open up after insertion into hole.
Question:	How deep is this? I want to hang it on the back of a door & need to make sure it doesn't hit the mirror behind it
Answer:	I don't know what you mean by deep. It hangs down 11 inches on the hook side and 1 inch on the other side. If the hooks are on the same side as the mirror, you would need a 12 inch clearance.
Question:	I know someone asked a similar question before but got different answers. How long is the rack that with "5" double hooks (bronze color)? Thank you
Answer:	Where it attaches is 1.5". The prongs you hang stuff in is 5-5.5" at the top and smaller at the bottom.

Answer:	No, a thin door is what we intended it for so we had to rig it with a bolt but it scratches our shower door frame

Answer:	I wouldn't use it on anything thinner than 1.5 inches. I think it would be wobbly.
Question:	What grade of steel is the "traditional steel
Answer:	Not sure the “GRADE” of the steel, but I can say this is well constructed, nice door hook. I love mine. Hope that helps at least somewhat.

Answer:	No its concave, you can however use the existing screw holes and screw a small thin peice of wood and use that as your backing plate. Might be easier to just get a flat one though :)

Answer:	I'm not home to look but I'm guessing an inch or so. But I do know that when the door is all the open (door knob touching the wall). The hooks don't touch the wall.
Question:	My door is slightly more than 1 and 3/4 inches wide. I have a hook like this that is 1 3/4 inches wide, but doesn't fit. How wide is this
Answer:	The hook fits the door at 1and 3/4 .But I did not use the door for my hook .I use my closet door .Because the space between my door and the door frame was not a big enough openinglike my closet door .
Question:	I am looking for over-the-door hooks to hang a small 2-step metal step ladder, about 10 lbs. Any comments on whether or not these hooks would work
Answer:	You ay want to consider metal hooks for this or two of these. I have several of these hooks for clothes and have been very pleased. I am not sure if they would hold up to that sort of weight over the long haul.

Answer:	No, they do not mark the door and fit well. Made of a hard PVC type material that wears well. Have been using them for the past 3 years and have no problems.

Answer:	Just physically measured mine... it should be ok... it will be snug, but the opening is 1-3/4" on mine

Answer:	11-1/2 inches from top of door to the bottom of each hook. Item is 12-1/2 inches wide.
Question:	Do the hangers slide side to side or are they sturdy
Answer:	I found them to be sturdy, and there is a small hole on the back side of the hanger portion so you can permanently affix it to the back side of the door at the top. It meets our needs perfectly!
