The longest side is 13 inches long/wide at the top of the basket, its widest point. The other side--the side with handles--is 10 inches long/wide at the top of the basket. Answer:	I think it's possible. The tension is pretty strong so when you put it in the shoe it will push up against the top of the shoe (unless of course you have larger sized shoes - I'm an 8 1/2).
