The official answer would have to come from the company, but given that the electronics are solid state (no arcing/sparking) and the waterproof sealing, I wouldn't be uncomfortable using this in a Class 1 Div 2 environment. I'm not sure I would use in C1D1 without direct information from the manufacturer.

Answer:	Each string has 10 x 1.5 watt bulbs = 15 watts. At 12 volts that will draw 1.25 amps, therefore two strings will draw 2.5 amps. As long as your USB outlet can deliver that you should be ok. Many USB outlets are below that.

Answer:	This is a good question, and the people trying to answer here are ignorant, lol. Of COURSE it has batteries, internal, rechargeable ones. And there's LOTS of reasons to want to have access to them. What if one goes weak or bad? You can replace it for about $4...or you can chunk the whole thing in the garbage. Also, the batteries that come with it are probably cheap massed produced batteries - for probably $15-$20 dollars you could replace them with latest technology, cutting edge performance Lithium Ion batteries that would give twice the runtime and more light output. So, its a good question. I won't buy anything that doesn't give me access to the batteries.

Answer:	There is no standard but there should be. Lumens are a confusing thing to advertise for several reason. Especially because this is a 360 degree light and not a focused beam. Plus, lumens increase exponentially as you get closer. Some manufacturers advertise 1500lux but they dont tell you thats from 1 inch away. At 6 inches, that same light would be 50lux. Even a car highbeam is 60lux if you back up far enough. There's no standard way to measure it so all claims are kind of a racket. Our responsibility as consumers is to buy these things PRIME and return them after trying them. The market will eventually get sick of covering that expense and a standard lux measurement will be instated (for example: 2 light sensors, 1 foot apart from each other, 4 feet from the light. That would be useful info). SHORT VERSION: Lumens mean nothing in this context.

Answer:	The runtime is 18 vs 12 hours for the biggest win. The additional brightness modes (esp "low"), the adjustable strap, straps top and bottom, the power meter.This clearly is a "2.0" next gen model. I can't wait to also get a Lux 2.0 - so I hope they refresh the rest of the line.I am otherwise surprised the Emerg doesn't have higher run time - as an emergency calls for a longer run time. Answer:	The battery indicator is on when you press the battery indicator button. Once you press it again, it will turn off the battery indicator.

Answer:	With the lantern standing on it's top and the bottom removed, iif you look into the lantern battery compartment, you will see a stem sticking up in the middle . That stem is round with a raised pointy area on it. Look at the bottom piece and you will see a hollow stem sticking up that has an opening with a matching pointy area. In order to put the bottom on the lantern you have to match those two pointed areas together , slide the bottom in and then twist clockwise.. If you don't match the stem in the lantern to the hollow tube in the bottom piece they won't go together.

Answer:	This will blow through premium alkaline batteries like Duracell, down 50% in five months and dead in nine months. I am suspicious of people upvoting the claim it is like a smoke detector. This is good light, it is NOT a good light for emergency unless you insert a piece of thin cardboard to block one of the contacts.

Answer:	I have a COB flashlight that takes 3 AA batteries & - it runs all of about 10 minutes on them & then dims to the point of useless - even on good 2800MaH capacity batteries. Why manufacturers make COB lights like these to burn through AAA batteries at warp speed... instead of using 18650 LiON Rechargeables that run for hours & hours...! I will never understand. I am now to the point where if a high powered light doesn't take 18650 LiON rechargeables - I don't even want to think about buying the hassle.

Answer:	This is the process I go through with this kind of issue: 1. Verify power at the light and that all connections are good (this can be done through test equipment or by hooking up a known working electrical device such as another fixture). 2. Check the switch settings to see if it is still in test mode or something. 3. Adjust the placement of the sensor. 4. Check to see if it is pointed towards water (like a pool) or a white or shiny surface (this can mess up the ir sensor). 5. Contact vendor for any wierd conditions unique to the fixture (such as requiring that the ground wire be hooked up, a connected common wire, etc...)(I don't remember that there are any for this fixture but this part of my checklist).
