Answer:	No, the tea leaves do NOT go into the basket. You put the tea leaves in the canister and them put the basket in after. When drinking the tea, the basket serves to seperate the tea leaves and the tea so you don't get leaves in your mouth.
Question:	Is this dishwasher safe
Answer:	It is NOT dishwasher safe. The inside coating is non-stick. So it should be easy to wipe with a warm sponge. Putting it in the dishwater will compromise the beautiful exterior finish of your thermos. The manual in provided with the thermos clearly states it is not dishwasher safe.
Question:	I got this mug. Unlike the photo on Amazon, this does not have a black plastic ring on which a user's lips are. Does yours not have this part as well

Answer:	I have the black one. I love it, but the paint has scratched off in a few spots. I’m careful with it, but I do carry it in my messenger bag. I’m extremely careful with what I put next to it, so I have to conclude the places without paint are due to rubbing against fabric.
Question:	Over time, does the mug retain flavors or smells? I only get 3-4 months of daily coffee use out of my mugs before they start retaining flavors/smells
Answer:	I left coffee in my mug for several weeks (misplaced the mug) and the smell inside was horrible, even after going through hot water washes/soaking/dishwasher. But I got it brand new again, here’s how: OxyClean is amazing for removing coffee and tea stains, and all smells, from stainless, mugs, whatever. It was great on the hard plastic parts as well. The silicone circular gasket and plug on the too inside of the lid were what stunk the worst, and nothing helped, even prolonged soaks and scrubbing in OxyClean. But they are SILICONE, and the internet taught me that the best way to get smells out of silicone is by baking it (thanks, Instapot owners!) I placed the silicone pieces on a small baking sheet in my oven at 350 degrees F, and baked for about 30 minutes. The smell baked right out of them; it was amazing!

Answer:	I would say mostly "yes", but it also depends on the particular car cup holder. The mug is only 2.5 inches wide at the base and 10 inches tall.

Answer:	YES - IT IS DISHWASHER SAFE, IF YOU USE A LITTLE COMMON SENSE. This vacuum bottle is warranted to take 190°F for 1 hour. Obviously, it will take the hot water of a dishwasher. What the manufacturer is clearly telling you in the instructions (without spelling it out) is that it won't take the very high heat of the heating coil in the bottom of a dishwasher. Daaah! Furthermore, for those people with poor reading comprehension, here is exactly what the instructions say, "To protect the paint, print or stickers on the outside of the Main Body: Do not use a dishwasher or dish-dryer. Again, it is the extreme heat of the heating coil in the bottom of your dishwasher that would be a problem. The obvious solution is that you only put it in the top rack - just like you would tupperware or any other 'dish' that could be damaged with extreme heat. Yes, the manufacturer is avoiding saying that you can put it in a dishwasher because they want to avoid the liability of ignorant knuckleheads who would put it right over the heating coil in the bottom of the dishwasher. How hard is that to figure out when they warranty this product to take 190°F.???? And, no the paint probably won't take the 200 to 300°F that you will find right above the heating coil. "If that hurts, don't do that." :-) A little common sense goes a long way. If you have any doubts - go to the third instance where the same question is asked and you will find an answer by MommyThree who claims to have put it in her dishwasher for 4 years! And, NO the instruction do NOT say it is not dishwasher safe. They simply prefer you hand wash it - rather than deal with the liability of ignorant people who would put it right over the heating coil. I mean, seriously, how hard is that to figure out?

If you're doing g-force testing or traveling to the international space station, you may have some issues with the design of the lock or lid. Answer:	The distance inside between the two elements on the sides that hold the lid in place is 2 3/4". The rest of the inner rim is 3 1/8" apart. The outside measurement, side to side, is 3 3/8". From the back of the rim (not including the handle) to the front, including the pouring spout, is 4 1/8"
