Answer:	NO. Tap water has minerlas, salts, bacteria, etc. These pills only kill bacteria but filter nothing. All the minerals will stay in the water and will break your machine. Use distilled water.

Answer:	I called the company and they said unopened, they expire in Jan. 2017. When the bottles are opened, they expire in one year.The product has no expiration or mfg. dates on the bottles.

Research has shown that at 50 degrees F (10 degrees C), only 90 percent of Giardia cysts were inactivated after 30 minutes of exposure. If the water temperature is below 40 degrees F (4 degrees C), double the treatment time before drinking. It is best if water is at least 60 degrees F (16 degrees C) before treating. Question:	Does this filter flouride from tap
Answer:	The threads on the handheld portion can be installed on an existing hose, but may need extra teflon tape to ensure a fit that doesn’t leak. I ended up swapping my existing hose with the one that SME with the shower head, and it works great! But be very careful to NOT over tighten the head to the hose if you end up using the Speakman hose, because the threaded female portion of the hose will crack (made of rigid plastic). If you use your existing hose, should be no problem.
Question:	If the bottle is being refilled 8-12 times a day how often should the filter change
Answer:	I installed this shower head for a friend and noticed the loose ball hinge, so I tightened it up tight so it was no longer loose. I have not showered with it so can't comment on it becoming tight when the water is on.
Question:	If bottle is not to be used for several days should it be stored empty or full

Answer:	these are a non-food item. suggest you do not ingest them. Since they are used as a firestarter it doesn't really matter if they are an alloy. Magnesium alloys are mixtures of magnesium with other metals, often aluminum, zinc, manganese, silicon, copper, rare earths and zirconium. these are used to start a fire, that you either cook over with metal pots and pans or use for heat by adding wood for fuel. since your food or self would not be in contact with the magnesium, it matters not if they are an alloy or pure magnesium. Please do not eat them. Milk of magnesia is a better source of magnesium if you feel yourself lacking in magnesium, plus its ph buffered.

Answer:	As the others said: this water is for use with already treated water (thats basically what potable means). It cannot be used in a camping setting to make water safe (so no, it wont remove bacteria), but is best used with already filtered water to filter it further. Personally, I like using the filtered water from my fridge, which rates a 150mp, instead of the tapwater, rates 220 mp, to further filter it to 0mp. Also, the smaller mp water youre entering into the filter, the longer the filter should last.

Answer:	I "strangled" the filter like the ZeroWater helpline person advised to remove air from the filter - but it still stops half way full. I think it is cause the filter is down in the water too far. I don't think it is the snug airtight fit. I doubt there is anyway to fill the 23 cup reservoir. I am trying a thin piece of plastic to make sure it isn't the airtight issue. Will report back

Answer:	The easy way to get the white part dislodged is this: Remove the filter. Fill the pitcher all the way up with warm water and a dab of dishwashing liquid. Now turn it upside down. The force of the water and gravity will dislodge the white part. The soap adds some extra slip to dislodge things and cleans the pitcher. Answer:	Thanks for your question! Brita bottles are a great way to reduce plastic bottle waste while traveling. For a smooth departure, make sure your bottle is empty when going through the TSA checkpoint. After takeoff, be aware that pressure changes in the cabin may lead to a little water splashing out when you open the cap. You can easily avoid this by first releasing the pressure: Slightly unscrew and then re-screw the cap before drinking, and you’ll be all set. Happy travels!
