Question:	Does drinking through the straw (swallowing air) make you gassy
Answer:	I have the 26 ounce water bottle. You just have to remember that the straw goes to the bottom of the bottle, therefore, the bottle must remain vertical. You cannot tilt it as you would a drinking glass. Hold the bottle as if it were sitting on a table and bend your head. Also, after refilling it, there will be air in the straw. Just continue to suck from the straw in the position as I have described and you will not have any problem.

Answer:	I don't know but I doubt it. I haven't found any water bottles that are totally clean. The straws are hard plastic. The lid is hard plastic. I suspect you could change the straw out for Silicone. This was a compromise for us. Small enough for little kids and their school bags, mostly safe/clean, and not glass. As compromises go, its pretty good. I hope you find the illusive healthy water bottle! Goodness knows the marketplace needs more of them for kids!

Answer:	It's a silicone straw with no built out stop piece on it like the hard plastic reusable straws. There are flexible rubber teeth (instead of just a hole or flip top) in the straw area of the cup that slow down removal but don't prevent the straw from being removed all the way.

The 508 is a small personal craft trimmer designed for a few sheets of paper per pass. Answer:	I am not sure about the technical details of removing particles. What this does in my opinion is absorb the “smell” of the water so it can taste better. I see it like those lava rocks people buy to put in their bathroom to absorb odors and have to refresh it in sunlight so the smells can expand and escape. Still skeptical as I just bought it recently. I can tell you that i can taste the difference from tap water vs a filter pill inside my water bottle left overnight.
