Answer:	Well water should not be a problem, the filter merely helps to remove impurities that are mixed into the water itself. If your well water has a funny taste i would recommend trying it. We use city water and unfortunately it has a lot of stuff mixed into it including old pipe decay and chemicals that help purify it, and it greatly improves the taste of our water and consistently lasts around 60-70 days for us

Question:	Does the pitcher require special cleaning? I've seen a film develop on containers of alkalized water
Answer:	Hi - that's a great question! Alkaline water will sometimes precipitate calcium which then causes a film to develop both on the container and also in items like kettles and pots. It's calcium so not harmful at all but can be an eyesore. To remove it, first remove the filter, then use a mild solution of vinegar and water to soak the affected areas, wipe down, rinse and repeat until all shiny again.
