Answer:	I use the spout lid (about 1.5-2cm diameter opening) which is rigid plastic and does not have the straw attached inside the water bottle. The part where you drink for the lid that attaches to the straw (hard clear plastic straw) is also hard plastic and not silicone. I hope this helps!

Answer:	It is absolutely spill proof, it does not spill if turned over. With that in mind, it actually seals itself as whatever hot beverage contained within it cools. And if the beverage is steaming hot, you won't be able to put the lid on without cracking a tiny air vent, as that lid is airtight. I love this tumbler and ended up buying several more. Buy it, you will not regret it, it keeps my coffee piping hot for a really long time, way longer than any other tumbler I own. I use it almost exclusively as I'm now spoiled.

Answer:	The outside of the thermos does not get warm at all. Under the cover is a screwed on bottom of the lid. You have to make sure that that is tight or it could leak. You also have to make sure you put the lid on with the lid open and not closed because the vacuum gets so tight that I am unable to get it off. This thermos is excellent. It actually keeps hot liquids whether it be coffee, broth, or tea hot all day long.

Answer:	Is this for the North Korean army? I'm pretty sure Amazon does not carry so many in stock. You may want to buy directly from Thermos which is the company that makes these.
