The bag is about the same size as most plastic grocery bags. These bags are very sturdy and light to carry around.

Answer:	The manufacturer's website says the bags are 17" x 15" and compress to 3" by 4". They carry up to 25 lbs (for comparison, a gallon of milk is about 7 lbs).

Answer:	I understand and appreciate your concern! These are reusable and yes, after they wear out (and people can't or choose not to repair them) they would end up in landfill. However, even if you opt to use a nylon bag like this, it should save a person many, many single-use plastic bags. One over many is still better. Cloth is a huge burden to landfills as well, and if inside landfills, cloth doesn't biodegrade either - landfills aren't made for stuff to "biodegrade".
