Answer: No - the blade is held in by one small screw, so it is replaceable if you can find the blades. That said, I bought this pack probably a year ago and I am still on the first sharpener (I use it once a day for crossword puzzle pencil), and it still works great. It is the best small sharpener I have ever used - nice sharp point and (no lie) it has never broken a lead during sharpening.

Answer: It is a package of four (4) so perhaps the meaning is to assign one sharpener for each color (if using for colored pencils). But I only use these for black lead pencils but I do not see why you could not use them for colored pencils as well.
